Adjusting backup camera

Is there a way to adjust the back up camera so the lines indicate the actual distance more accurately? Right now the lines look like I have plenty of room between my car and what is behind me when I'm just in top of something.

Thanks.

Each line is 1m or 3.3ft. You can use a meter stick so verify . I can't imagine that Acura can adjust it since the lines are just an overlay. However if your camera is skewed, I suppose they can adjust.

In the meantime, use your bumper (on the screen) to gauge your distance if you're trying to get particularly close to something.

I have an 09 TSX and I don't have lines... Are the lines an option or only on newer cars than mine?

They are on the newer Acuras and we didn't get them in '09, unfortunately.

I find the lines pretty useful while backing out of my shitty one lane driveway that has a gate. I don't have to keep checking my side mirrors to see if I'll hit the side of the gate or not LOL

The lines really help backing into a spot and keeping the car straight in one shot!

I just saw a calibration menu. Start the car, when the OK prompt comes up on the nav, press map/guide, cancel, and menu at the same time. From there you can navigate to the camera calibration screen. Hope this helps
