Year End Pricing?

Hi everyone, I was interested in purchasing the '10 TSX and I got this quote from a local dealership:

Base: MSRP: $ 30,120 My Price: $ 28,270

Technology: MSRP: $ 33,220 My Price: $ 31,112

I looked at the thread where everyone posted their prices but there isn't anything posted recently for the U.S. so any advice? Good/bad? Thanks!

Are u looking to lease finance or pay cash?
The lease residuals are pretty good on a base TSX for 30 months .

I have been making similar inquries this week which have so far yielded the following numbers.

Dealer 1
4cyl Base: MSRP: $30,120 My Price: $28,380
4cyl Tech: MSRP: $33,220 My Price: $31,220
6cyl Base: MSRP: $35,660 My Price: $32,850

Dealer 2
4cyl Base: MSRP: $30,120 My Price: $28,870
4cyl Tech: MSRP: $33,220 My Price: $31,010

Also, recent chatter in this forum suggest lower pricing as follows.
http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.ef1584a

Base
Signed buyer order for $27.2K discounted price + TTL

I was quoted 26,910 from one dealer in MD and then another dealer in VA undercut that guy with 26,600(volume dealer), I still have not purchased (these are not OTD, they are base car + destination).

I just picked up my base 2010 TSX for $27k even, incl. destination.

Tech
1 gave me a lower price of 30,400 blk/blk Tech +TTL(car only had 1 mile). So while I was driving there dealership 2 gave me an even lower price of 29,500 blk/blk Tech +TTL(car had 65 miles on it).

$29k + TTL with a comment "You should be able to bring them down to at least $1000 below invoice. All dealers (VA) in my area came to that amount, which was $29,612"

I am interested in the 4cyl tech but the first two dealers were not even close to the 29K+TTL mentioned in that last quote. Maybe there was dealer incentives on the 4cyl that are no longer in play. I believe the one quote I got for the 6cyl which was invoice reflected a dealer incentives.

I wanted to finance cause im planning on keeping the car for longer and I dont know much about leasing and have heard bad stories about it...even though the lease rates sound pretty good. But yea it seems the pricing i got is right around invoice so i don't think theres much room for negotiation.

I visited a 3rd dealer and got the following prices.

Dealer 3
4cyl Base: MSRP: $30,120 My Price: $28,800
4cyl Tech: MSRP: $33,220 My Price: $31,800
6cyl didn't get exact price but was told there is a 1K incentive on the non-tech and a 1.5k incentive on the tech.

So even thou multiple others have said they are getting the 4cyl TSX for under invoice prices (new entry today in that edmund forum "$26,495 (includes $810 destination fee)." which is $1275 under invoice) I have had no luck coming even close to that. I mentioned the prices I have seen posted and I was told not to believe what I read online, that Acura cut production to keep inventories low so pricing would not drop like that.

Between the higher than expected price (31800 vs 29600 = +2200) and the less than expected trade in value (-3000) today's deal was about 5k off what I was hoping for.

I then stopped at a VW dealer to look at the new GTI, the sales manager there said "any car I have in stock you can have for invoice". The VW seems to have less of a delta between invoice and MSRP so maybe that is not saying all that much.

Looks like those are the best prices avail now.
I just got my 2010 base tsx for 28,700.
i leased it for $2445 upfront (includes tax, bank fee, registration fee, 1st month, plus some other fees, and $147 cap reduction)

total cost to drive for 3 yrs is $14,765

Hey, just try a little harder

In Alhambra, CA, I got the dealership to do 300 dollar under invoice. Mine was around 29,500 4 cyl with tech package. Of course that's without destination and tax =P

I also got mud guard and wheel locks that came with the car.

I might consider leasing, I was actually also interested in the GTI but I'm not too sure about the reliability and after adding all the options (like xenon, better rims) it comes close to what the TSX costs. But for those that have leased before, can I take advantage of the $289 lease special with the pricing that the dealer offered me (~28000)? The offer is with a cap cost reduction of $3,310 but that is based off of MSRP. Crunching the numbers came up with a $1190 cap cost reduction after the discount that the dealer quotes me off of MSRP. Would this still work? Seems like a good deal.

My lease is as follows on a base 2010 TSX.
$2000 Total down (all I gave the Dlr was $2000 and that included 1st month payment) and my payment is $390 for 29 more months (30 month lease) with 15K miles a year and I got Tire and wheel package was included in that price.(It is insurance on the wheels and tires , I got alot of bubbles with my CL tires and curb rashed rims so It was worth it for me)

Shows what a difference a few months can make. My guess is they'll stop manufacturing these fairly soon (010 model year I mean), plus I have to assume that Acura is desperate to sell this car (if for no other reason than they have to be swimming in them). I don't have access to numbers, but I travel allot, and based on what I see (anecdotal I agree), let's just say that the 2nd gen TSX (and the new TL for that matter) has to be a resounding...... disappointment for Acura.

TSX is actually doing very well, better than last gen. TL seems like a bust though.

I'd sure like to help. Lurking/considering a base TSX/6M as a candidate on the shart list. Others are BMW 3 Series 6M Coupe and Chev Camaro V-8 6M.

None really appeal in the engineering (fuel econ/performance) sphere as my current GenVII Accord 6M. The agony of choice versus the curse of reason (& lack of emotion)

all the best to those who informed me about GMSFM (Acurazine.com)

ez sends..............

TL yes, but the TSX is doing just fine.
