Windshield Replacement Not Fun!

Sadly, a rock cracked the windshield of my 2010 TSX v6 3 months after I bought the car. This began a 2 month process of trying to get it fixed right and its still not completely right even after 2 Acura windshields...the incompetence of the replacement glass company was certainly an issue but what seemed to stump all was the side windshield molding that defers rain...first time, both these moldings flew off the car..second time they cemented them in but they weren't lined up just right and annoying wind sounds resulted...it is an exact job getting these to stay in and lined up correctly so as to reduce cabin noise...the replacement company changed these twice - second time dented the car...the body shop finally fixed one side correctly while fixing the dents but did not remove the other side that the replacement company cemented in for fear of doing more damage..anyway, if you ever get your windshield replaced...make sure you tell the company to pay specific attention to this!

I thought I was going to have to get mine replaced a few months back when a rock chipped my windshield. Luckily, it was repairable with resin.

What a horror story. I had mine replaced with another OEM piece by Safelite, and I never had any problems.

Glad to hear YOUR experience with Safelite was good...have had a number of cars and a number of windshields replaced in the past - never an issue...the moldings are held by clips and need to set just right...nightmare was the right word...its prob as good as it will get now and luckily i love every other aspect of the car but bummer doing this year 1.

I am fighting with the same problem at the moment. The glass company didn't know how to fix it, then Acura stated that they need to replace the clips, now the clips are replaced and the moldings are still loose.

I had mine replaced about a month ago as well and was worried about it being done right...thankfully whoever my Acura dealer uses to outsource this work was excellent. They did it at the dealership with OEM glass and all went well!
