will there be a 2013 tsx?
I can't seem to find any definitive answer as to whether there will be a 2013 tsx. I know for a while we all thought that the tsx was going to be discontinued after the ilx came out, but i dont think that is the case anymore. just wanted to see if anyone here knew for a fact that there will be a 2013 and if so, when will it be coming out?

2013 TSX is exactly the same and will be out this fall. Only changes are colors, with Milano Red added to all sedan models, and Taupe interior now called Graystone.

Wow, that is a bit of news that probably only I find interesting but if I can get a Milano Red Tech with black leather, that would be sweet!!! Now if they would only offer the Tech with a 6-speed hmmmm....

Milano Red only comes 2 ways. With the Special Edition black suede interior on the SE, and only with Parchment leather on the base & Tech TSX sedans.

Rumor has it the 2013 model year is the swan song for both the TSX and TL. The new TLX based on the next-gen Accord platform is rumored to replace both for the 2014 model year. 2014 is when I'll be in the market for a new ride. I'll consider the TLX when the time comes, but if it isn't offered with a manual tranny and navigation, I'm done with the Acura brand as they offer nothing else I'm interested in.

Nothing more than what I've already said. I just have rumors I see in the various car magazines I read. The current issue of Motor Trend is the latest to mention the TSX/TL being replaced by the TLX in the Acura section of the 2013 new car issue. If you Google the Honda Concept C, that's rumored to be a preview of what the TLX will look like.

^Yeah that is true from what I've been reading. Besides acura can't afford to screw up the 5G TL/3G TSX (TLX). The 4G didn't sell as well as the 3G. Besides the TSX has grown and is comparable to the TL in size.
ILX, TLX, MDX, RLX Notice a pattern? I read about this somewhere but it's been so long ago.

Just took delivery of 2012 TSX Tech. Salesman told me there will be a 2013 TSX model. As posted above a few color changes. Right now TSX is out selling ILX. Acura has added incentives to ILX. TL and TSX due to be replaced in 2014. Looks like they will get merged together as one later in 2013. Also Milano Red should only come in ebony IMOP! Hint Acura...

No surprise there. TSX is a good value.

2013 TSX has the following changes. Milano red replaces basque red, TSX V6 comes tech package only and greystone replaces taupe for interior colors. The TSX SE returns for 2013.

Everyday I'm rofling
So...sales of the V6 will drop since that price is basically a TL.
#21
So Acura raised the price more on the MT than the AT, even though it is less expensive to manufacture? Way to go, Acura....Your half-assed commitment to manual transmissions means I will probably join Craig-D and many others and look for alternatives to the Acura brand in 2014.

I did a quick wiki reading, and I didn't know Acura was considering doing a Turbo diesel in the TSX line up. It was then decided that the whole "emmisions" issues would drive sales down so they went with V6 instead. I just cant believe we almost could have had a fast car haha.

either the cost of the TSX is gonna go up or theyre not gonna change all that much..
either way, it should be a awesome car.

Looks like the same price to me. Only takes a few seconds to check for yourself.

Thank you and I stand corrected. I was commenting based on the previous post.
However, if Acura priced according to it cost, manuals would have a lower MSRP and perhaps have higher sales volume.

The new Accord Sport, in particular, seems to make the TSX redundant, but maybe the TSX still has a dynamic edge. Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised if the 2013 TSX has a short production run.

You are making an assumption. Years ago when the number of manuals and autos sold were closer then they are today, the manuals were always cheaper. But now manuals are somewhere around 5% of sales. So when 95% of the cars they build are autos the costs may be actually less than the manuals. It would seem from the way Acura prices them that is it not worth making a price distinction. It might actually be more expensive to produce the manual given the limited numbers. But when it comes to a $31K car the cost is probably not a huge delta anyway.

just sat in a 2013 fully loaded accord and there isn't one good reason to choose the tsx over the accord at this point. there is so much more tech in the accord... the interior is improved.. the gauge cluster looks better and the seat is a lot more comfortable.
#35
The Drive - that would be one reason. I'm sure it's nice but it's not going to be the same and it won't be better - just different.
Depends on what you like.
I just got the Wagon\Tech and don't think Honda will be offering that to the US. I prefer the look of the TSX Wagon to the new Accord and I think the interior is a notch above also. Wasn't interested in CVT tranny either - love the 5 speed in the TSX.
Think the target audience is a little different also - they'll sell a ton of them though.

I could honestly not care less about tech features, but I realize I'm in the minority.

Forgive me here but what benefit do you get with the double wishbone compared to whatever the accord currently has? Are there any other differences in performance/suspension with the tsx and say last years 2012 accord?
The lower padding in the 13 accord felt great.

That Accord Dash cluster is goooorgeous, altho rpm should be central ADUUUUUH.
HVAC dash looks ok.
So for this to be TLX worthy, more chrome/leather lol? I can also see the TLX being made in North America as opposed to the JDM CU2

Double wishbone setup is superior to struts. Look at all the luxury cars -- they all have it. It will ride nicer and is also better for handling -- camber stays the same as suspension compresses vs. the strut setup, where camber will go positive.

Not a big fan of chrome. Personnally I don't see it as adding class, especaily on the interior. Just look at the Buick, chrome everywhere and bright sun light refecting in your eyes. Couldn't stand driving that car during a test drive.
