Why are you here?

What led you to Acurazine, the greatest Acura site ever created?

Do you have a memorable reason for being brought to this amazing site? Maybe you had a question about why your car smelled like burning. Maybe you needed to make a new thread asking what size LED's to replace your interior lights with. Or maybe you joined in hopes of getting lucky with ed's mom(which is surprisingly easy).

Why are you here?-o59vypx.jpg

I was looking for a new car to replace my old and tired 1996 firebird, since it was becoming a money pit at 120k miles. I wanted a car that I could put some money into fun things into and actually do some minor cosmetic mods. So I googled "modded tsx" or something similar and stumbled across defon's tsx here. I saw the potential the tsx has and I was instantly sold. I've been hanging around ever since.

Well looking for a tsx since they where surprisingly cheap when we needed another car, it was either this or a shitty Camry SE, a new one. Didnt like the Camry too much so looked around found out about these tsx's that have nice options and so I looked for a nice forum and looked sucky and so did the other ones, this is one nice looking forum. Asked you guys about the tsx I was looking at and it became ours because of you guys! Thanks for the help! and this forum is awesome.

I thought this was going to be a thread about what employees ask MC every time he shows up to the Acura dealership

So I've owned a variety of vehicles and have learned that message boards (collaborating with other owners in general) is where its at. That said, I find the personalities in here to be pretty agreeable.

On the other hand, we had bought a Jeep Wrangler in 2011 and those Jeep owners on all the major boards were a different crowd. There were so many obnoxious and opinionated know-it-alls. I'm not lying when I say Jeep owner snobbery was a contributing factor to unloading the jeep.

I feel like this TSX crowd has a genuine appreciation for the practicality and value of our cars. Nobody that I've seen yet gives the impression that they somehow think TSX is the greatest car ever and just can't be touched.

Good thread.

Bro got an 08 TL-S, I joined for fun. First post I made was about his TL shifting rough in manual mode and how he scraped the shit out of his bumper within a week of ownership Also got a ton of shit from the 3G TL'ers as usual for my ghetto typing as I was still young and typing like a dumb ass lol... Now I'm here because I stuck within the Acura family and got the TSX Every other car I wanted I couldn't have so yeah... If not, I would probably be on a Hyundai forum right now I really wanted a Genesis Coupe, but getting one in auto is no fun so I said fuck that lol. Yet I'm on a Hyundai forum now because of my friend...

Here's that pic I posted of his fucked up bumper

Sold the RSX, got a TSX and wanted a good TSX forum. I tried several others first and none of them interested me as much as this one. Seemed well rounded and the people weren't typically douche bags like a lot of other forums haha

Came back in '03-04 for information on the then-new '04 TSX. Bought one, hung out a bit. Sold that car in '07 for an S2000. Dropped in occasionally. In 2011, bought a new TSX for a DD. Drop in occasionally with questions or to see what's up.

2nd gen wasn't a big option when the Sentra had to be replaced...I wanted an BMW I135 SOOO FUCKIN BAD...Only Acura I wanted at the time was a 1G TSX A-Spec...then I got rational and looked at the 2G TSX and the rest is as they say history. I joined the other forum 1st then this 1...I post more here now cuz the company ain't half bad and of course boredom.

The 2G Forum has grown since I've joined tho. As the car gets cheaper more people are buying it. Sadly some have lower levels of common sense and rational decision making(USE SEARCH BAR PEOPLE, plastidip everything?!, hi beams on always?!)
