where to do wheel aligment
where to do wheel aligment
Just a quick question, where do you guy head to for wheel alignment?
I just hit the pothole and literally blew the front-right tire. Hate that.
Anyway, I've replaced all 4 tires at Costco but they don't do alignment.
So where to go?
Sears? NTB? Goodyear? ...
which store has the best, state-of-art equipment?

Any suspension shop can do it. A lot of specialty tuner and hot rod shops too.
Just got mine done at Firestone today.
FYI, the equipment is only as good as the technician. It's hit or miss.
If your steering is wandering from nailing that pothole, you're SOL already.

There are a couple of shops/services that can perform alignment in my area.
Just don't know which one is best but based on what you suggested, I just go ahead and go with one of the nearby shop.
Keep fingers crossed.
Thanks a lot for your quick feedback, ulrblitzer.

Yeah, it's really hard to recommend because a crappy company with a good tech is better that a great company with crappy techs.
Years ago, I always took my old car to the Sears by my house because they had one tech doing alignments that was out of this world. Like, I could talk to him and could actually tell he could understand the words that were coming out of my mouth. He'd dial things in and then give me the printed report but also *explain* what he did, what else could or couldn't be done and what aftermarket options were possible.
Maybe go talk to the techs at some of the local places and see which sound like they know what they're doing and which are just there running the equipment.
