LOL thanks ED....I am only using the 3m tape..ssjoeboe9, your diy was very helpful but the OEM lip has some type of foam outlining the top and sides..should I put the 3m tape over that? Thanks

i used the existing 3m and also got some 5# double-sided tape from Home Depot and put it on the ends. That worked for a while but then they started to curl up. I ended up getting a dab of clear glue from meant to bond plastic to metal and clamped my ends down for a few hours to let it dry. Now they don't move at all and its been 2 months and about 5 car washes.
Good luck!
