Wheel Spacer for 2013 TSX
Hi, I got used winter tires on steel rims earlier this year. They are 215/55R16 which I thought would work just fine, but looks like I got it wrong on the offset. When I install the front tire, the caliper is grinding on the rim. At that time I just put back on the stock tires.
I was looking for some solution and found out that I can user spacers as an easy fix rather than buying 17" wheels. I am just concerned about the lug shank length after putting the spacer. I couldn't find online how long is the lug shank so that I can decide how far I can go with the spacer in a way that there is enough thread left for the nut to screw on.
I should have measured it when I removed the tire, but I didn't know at that time. Does anyone have any idea if getting a 5mm or 8mm spacer would still leave enough threads on the shank to safely bolt the tire?
