Wheel Sensors re-programed
Wheel Sensors re-programed
OK finally got my Wife's TSX to the Dealer to figure out what was up with the TPMS display. The issue is I purchased used Acura Wheels to mount snow tires. They don't have wheel sensors. I figured it would not be a problem. The car is supposed to pick up the sensors like it would if you had a flat fixed. But it seems you need to have all them re-programed by the dealer after the winter wheels are removed.
My question is. Are there any ACURA tech's out there reading this?
Is there a way to get the car to recognize the sensors next year when the same thing happens. Or do I have to live with paying the Dealer $60 to do it?

Strange, it should auto detect after a few mile of slow driving. I drove my 19" without sensors for about a month (w/ the TPMS light on). After I installed the new sensors, the TPMS light went off after about 1 km of driving and haven't been back on since.
Funny thing is that on my stock 17" wheel, the TPMS light will come on intermittently, I think that's why Acura upgrade the TPMS sensor part in 2010 from part # 42753-TL2-A51 to 42753-TL2-A52 which is what I have on my 19".

Uh.. I put winter wheels all Winter with the tpms warning light on.. THen I put the old tires back on with the TPMS in them, and it picked them up the second I turned the car on. Think the dealer is lying to you...
