What would you trade your TSX for?
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to see what you would possibly trade in your TSX for and for what possible reason? Whether it be more power, better sterring, more creature comforts, etc. Try and keep the trade in car within a reasonable range, well because I'm pretty sure most of us would trade in our tSX's for an Aston Martin if we could .

fwiw, I wouldn't touch an Aston with a ten foot pole unless I had a British mechanic living in the trunk and who had access to wholesale parts pricing.
There's never going to be a single perfect car. So as justnspace says, it's always better to have more than one. Keep a Japanese car as your reliable and inexpensive daily and look for some Euro collectibles as fun cars.
I'm looking for an E39 M5 right now (the last of the breed to be hand built in Garching.) If I find a good sample my TSX wagon will be a parts hauler for the E39

Same as above. Keep the TSX, get a "project car" for fun as some like to call them.
I'd pick something like a 350Z, since I still have a thing for the VQ, or an E46 M3. Some friends of mine have gotten into rallycross with the E30, which looks like a blast, and parts are relatively cheap if you can do some of your own work. A 98-00 Subaru 2.5RS would be nice to play with too, but those are tough to find in good shape.
If I had to trade in the TSX for something, I've no idea. Nothing interests me right now when you consider value, reliability, and performance. Maybe something like a C7 Avant, B8 S4, or Jeep Cherokee SRT8, if I had some money and didn't have to worry about reliability and maintenance.

I actually had to think about this. Hopefully, I didn't set off any smoke alarms in the process.
For the driving I do every day, I don't think I would trade it for anything (in the same general price range). I liked the TSX better than any of the other cars I test drove prior. Maybe go from my 09 to a 12 SE 6MT. That'd be about it. The color I'd pick would be hardest choice. I love my CBP, but for some reason, I kinda dig that that Milano Red...tasty.

I WAS going to trade for an FRS but given the first year model problems i'm just going to tinker with my TSX until it is paid off (not much left to go!) and keep it as a daily driver and get the third model year FRS with all the Five Axis goodies.
But if I absolutely HAD to trade, I'd go with the TL SH-AWD in manual. It's just more car than I'll ever need which is why I never went for it.

I want to keep my TSX for a long time, but my goal is have a 6th gen Z06 cammed with Borla exhaust as a weekend car. Its an expensive goal, but I have a few years to save as my TSX has my attention now.
600HP + 6 speed = OH YEAH!!

I like my TSX, I did choose it over other cars in it's price range. I would love for it to be RWD. I just returned a 2012 Mercedes C250 that I had as a rental for over 2 weeks/500 miles, and I'd pick my TSX over it.

id trade for a IS-F or to be realistic, IS350.
its quick, nimble, and has enough room for a begineer family.
NSX - ive always wanted one.
new accord
TL. i kinda wished id gotten the TL instead of the TSX. the monthly was like a $50 difference since they were running special but i didnt like them then. ive learned to appreciate how they look now and love them.
i also want a CU1. they look soo good modded.
i think when my wifes lease ends on her accord, ill give her my tsx and get a CU1 for me to mod

hmmm... 2008 Audi RS4.. Why? It's a practical sedan with AWD/6speed manual and it's a RS model with a 8,500 RPM V8. However, they are still demanding way too much money for a soon to be 5yr old car.

Some great choices, especially the dinosaur .
If I were to upgrade I would probably go with the '12 TL SH-AWD or possibly even a '13 Accord V6. Main reason owuld be for a bit more power and better transmission. Right now I do have a '10 base automatic (manual was impossible to find in my part of Florida) and now I am in Colorado and the benefits of more power and AWD would be great.

I love Audis and fit in them very well, but I just can't swing owning one, or a beemer. And, I make low 6 figures.

Cars I was considering when I thought my TSX would be totaled:
TSX V6
TSX 6MT
TSX Sport Wagon
Subaru STi Hatch
Subaru BR-Z
Used BMW 3-Series
Used Lexus IS250
Used Acura NSX
But I am just a kid, who doesn't need much space etc, so I probably woulda gotten something sporty to regret at an older age

It's only practical if you have alot of money to spend on maintenance and another car to drive while the Audi is at the shop. And, lots of money on gas and tires. Other than that, yeah -- practical

On a serious note.. Most of these issues with German cars comes down to proper maintenance and spotting potential issues before they become a drain on the wallet. Yeah, practicality for me is 4 doors and a backseat. My commute is usually from my bedroom to the basement office

For a daily driver, I'm not sure I'd take anything over my TSX, except maybe a newer one for the revised steering and better sound insulation. Despite my issues with it, very few cars offer it's blend of reliability, practicality, economy, manual tranny, and stellar chassis dynamics. If BMW can engineer some old-fashioned steering feedback into the new 3 Series, I'd consider one when it hits the third model year, but the current "plan" is to add an FR-S or BRZ to the TSX in a year or two.
I am, however, curious about some new models, like the Ford Fusion with 1.6L turbo and 6MT, new Accord Sport, and upcoming Mazda 6. I'll test them when I get the chance.
