What material are our wheels made out of?
#3
all i know is the 11s are called "machined"
different texture/composition from our current wheels for sure. Seem to look like they are made out of a solid piece through and through (aluminum? idk)
the earlier rims are like made of something, then painted, and then clearcoated (maybe)
glad to (maybe) help : )
get sonax wheel cleaner if you have a large budget, its what the pros use, or grab meguiars hot rims if you are on a budget/poor like me. hot rims works awesome, dirt melts right off. The cleaners work on like everything. Just grab a basic wheel brush off amazon and hot rims and ull be jelly

I haven't seen the 11 wheels yet. But earlier are machined aluminum, painted and clearcoated. I don't know if they are monoblock or welded but that doesn't matter to the finish but I would guess welded for cost.
I cannot imagine the 11 wheels are anything other than painted/cleared.
Polished aluminum is very rare in an OEM wheel, especially at this price point. I really doubt Acura would put $5000 worth of wheels on this car.
Look for an otc wheel cleaner safe for painted/cleared wheels and stick with know major brands.

If you don't mind the price, pick up some P21S wheel cleaner. The stuff is great but kinda pricey. If you want to buy your products locally I have had good luck with Eagle One A2Z Wheel and Tire Cleaner. If your wheels have brake dust that is really baked on there you could try S100 Gel wheel cleaner. The S100 is usually available at the Harley Dealerships, but is a product you really only need to use if your wheels are very dirty and some simple scrubbing won't take the dust off.
