$500 deductibles suck for fender benders like this. I changed mine to $50 a while back and pay a couple dollars more a month.

An opportunity to get sport bumper, 09-10 grille, and fishcake black housings which are about the price of 1 OEM headlight.






I've messed up an oem regular bumper and sport bumper, so don't feel bummed out. I'm on my second sport bumper.

 

I had a very fender bender (front bumper needed to be replaced) and my insurance deductible was $900 lol.. Good luck man.

 

your parents chose that deductible.

may be for a reason. get with them to review your policy and make changes if applicable

i have $1000. deductabile on all my vehicles, i don t want to pay the thieving ins. co. any more than i have to. brings the premium down considerably.

wow. just called my ins. co. all my vehicles, if i bump them back to 500 ded, cost me 40 a year on 3 vehicles, somewhere i was misled yrs ago, believing i was saving a few hundred. think i will be reducing.

I know that they chose it and am fine with it, but what I mean is if he thinks his $495 deductible is bad, mine was 2X that lol The other guy was fliying way past 35 with his headlights off.. Since I had yellow flashing yield, he had the right of way, even though there's no way in hell I could've seen him. It ended up being my fault aswell even though I stopped and checked twice before going.

Yeah... insurance companies will argue that you can't prove it was off and the lights might have been damaged in the accident. I wonder if that information is in the car's black box? A dash cam would have helped your case.
