Weird Parking Garage Incident

Weird Parking Garage Incident
Hey guys,
The weirdest thing happened to me yesterday when I was going to my car in the lot after work, everything seemed fine and dandy I saw my car pressed the unlock key using my key fob that came with the car like I always do. Anyways, the trouble begins when I got in the car and realized it was not my car. It has taupe interior and mine is ebony, at this point I'm shocked and scared out of my mind, I quickly get out of the car lock it again with my key fob and go to the other grigio tsx thats mine. Anyways how can this happen, that is how can I get into this TSX even though it does not belong to me using my key fob? I'm not sure if it would even let me start the car not that I would, I just accidentally got into somebody else car by mistake. Is this normal for our tsx key to open another tsx?

WTH happened to my garage
Holy crap! That's funny...not.
You were able to re-lock it with your fob too? I'm surprised. Don't we have some rolling code thing on these cars?

yes it is very normal for this to happen and all TSX key fobs have the ability to lock and unlock other TSX's.
just kidding haha. Yeah that is very weird and you should report this to acura? who knows someone else might do the same thing to your car and steal your belongings.

I remember this happening to me once, but I don't remember which car. I don't think it was my TSX. It was indeed very confusing and scary. I remember getting out of the car and hoping no one saw me.

Good thing it had taupe interior otherwise I may have not even noticed it and driven off the lot with it and then get pulled over by police when the guy/girl submitted a missing vehicle report... That is if the car would actually start with my key?

Not sure, but I dont think it is possible for our TSX's to to stay unlocked for a certain amount of time. After like 30 seconds it locks the doors byitself no?
Unless the imposTerSX left his car less than a minute before you sat into his car...

ttk5, The car should only lock itself if you unlock it but never open the door. If you got out of the car and just didn't lock it, it is not going to lock itself.

It happened to me years ago when I was driving a Ford Probe. I went to a fast food restaurant. After I got my food I got into another probe, the same color and year as mine. It was such a disorienting and scary experience because there was trash all over the car. I was petrified and got out of there as quickly as possible. I did not want to be charged with trespassing or breaking in and entering.
The fob is not supposed to open someone elses TSX. I've been in parking lots where a another same model TL was right next to mine. My fob never opened those cars. Not that I tried ;-)

I've had my tsx since 2006. got broken into about 3 times from 06-12. no forced entry or damage. I changed to an aftermarket alarm and same issue.
This month 3 times... I can garantee the car was locked. Im so paranoid I check all 4 doors when I leave my car for hours. last 3 times my stuff was all over the place but nothing taken. I assume they are looking for ipad or something really expensive.
How the F is this possible and what can I do about this??? if someone can help please let me know.

Are you sure it's not just Dave who owes you money?

Ok, so our cars are being broken into. No force entry sounds like the little black box trick thats recently been getting some attention on the News Channels with the Acura MDX and TL by a surveillance/ security camera outside the guys home.
There are a few threads on here about the problem. I don't know what I'll do if someone sneaks into my TSX. I would probably hide and wait for their next attempt with a bat full of nails hammered through it!
I would also probably get a different security system with 6 live-recording cameras. Front, Rear, and then one on each side of the B pillar on both sides. Wide angle-1080p full color. Do they make them small enough to go unnoticed?
