ed_423, well i was originally going to get the smaller ones, but they were sold out until may 10th. i was too impatient so I decided to get these. The only difference is that these have twice as much LEDs compared to the $54 one. So obviously they are a hell of a lot brighter. Both are switchbacks. I'm essentially saying "IM TURNING, IM TURNING" when I turn my turn signals on LOL.

As for which one to choose, it doesn't really matter, I would say get these if you are willing to pay an extra 20 something bucks for it, and I like it cause its bright cause I want people to know that I am turning lol. I think I got a pic of the comparison of the two bulbs since I originally bought the other version $54 one.

haha yea mate i realised that i just wanted to know which ones he ordered because our CU2 here in oz dont have switchbacks, and our headlight indicators have t20 bulbs.

i just changed my indicator bulbs to leds and im getting the hyper flashing, been more than a few days now and the unlike kowloon said my car hasnt "adjusted".

So im trying to suss out which resistor set should I get, the 3 ohm or the 6 ohm? any suggestions would be awesome guys!

What's up guys? I'm new here and just have a few questions....... What temperature are the bulbs in 09 TSX? If I wanted to replace my bulbs could I just buy the new bulbs (whatever temperature) and do a direct replacement or do I have to swap out the ballasts too? Does anyone have any good recommendations on where to purchase these headlight bulbs? Thanks fellas.

kowloon, since youve had em in for a while now, have you any downsides or regrets from doing this? and was the install easy?

i am too lazy to read the whole thread so just berate me if these were answered already

first of all. welcome.
oem temp. is 4300K
if u wnat to replace headlights bulb, just get the bulbs (d2s i believe? or d2r...cant remember )
u can get the headlights from hidextra or ddm tunning. i have hidextra for headlights and ddm tunning for fogs. i want to change my headlights to ddm tuning so it matches. they are aroudn 15 bucks, not bad and great output. so i'd suggest ddm but w/e you like is fine too

nope no downsides. one thing i noticed is for example i have my turn signal on with the lights off and i turn the low beams on with the turn signals still blinking, it would hyper blink but then go back to normal. but no regrets at all. i love em.

install was not difficult but not super easy but it is straight forward. the reason why i say its not super easy is because you have to take out your bumper and unbolt the headlight to take it out. I think you could just try to get it through the fender liner but there's not that much room to work with.

You don't have to, it just makes my life easier since I have more room to work with and not have to break my arms to fit into a tight spot

I'm with you ed, I've looked at the DIY so many times and can't bring myself to putting my headlights in the oven. Switch backs def. seem the way to go though.

it would only melt if you actually make contact with the oven. or if youre not paying attention and leave it in too long, it'll melt.

other than that, youre just melting the glue

you can do it the long harder way by using a heat gun.

haha, i know the feeling, if my parents see me doing shit with my car, anytime there is a problem they assume it was like the fog lights or something i put in.

if they saw my headlights in the oven theyd definitely what the fuck all over the place

You wouldn't need switchbacks if you still have the yellow amber piece in there. Just buy yellow turn signal LEDs since you'll be wasting your money if you get switchbacks since the white would not show through the yellow.

Hmm, PMM is very similar, nice pic find

you know what after seeing it on the PMM i still feel like i like the yellow on grigio for the contrast it provides...to each his own though since i can see why it would be attractive as well!

hoooray for personal preference
