USB Flash drives?

I'm using a Sandisk Cruzer 4GB that came with their U3 technology. There is a U3 removal tool that you can download from the web. I then formatted the drive using Windows XP and I think it was done as FAT32. I think any drive will work. I would recommend a format first before plugging it into the car.

If you set up to synchronize with windows media player, you don't have to mess around with folders or anything. This has worked well on my non-tech 09. I don't know how it works with I-tunes.

It depends what you are after.
If you plug a usb drive in, while media player is open, it will probably ask you to set up a new device.
You pretty much just drag and drop songs or whole albums into the pane on the right side of the screen and hit the button.

i had the same error and thanks to this thread found out that i didn't have it in fat32 format. replaced and it worked.
