TYPE S Emblem, where should I put it?

I've always liked the TYPE-S Emblems on The Tls. I figured, why the hell not put one on my tsx.

I've found to emblem types.

2:

My question is, which one, and where should it go?! I really don't want to remove any existing emblems like the TSX on the back, I hate playing with stuff like that and would rather just post it around or somewhere else.

Let me know if you guys have done it and where you put it!

Look at the RSX Type S, that will give you an idea. I have to removed the TSX emblem, move it about an inch to the left.

I'm not a big fan of emblems but I'd get the second one. The first is the TL one.

Thanks, I have the CBP as well so that gave me a perfect visualization.
It's also nice to see another canadian on the forum.
unfortunately I don't have the tools to move the emblems myself. So I'll need to take it to a shop.

Thank you
and no problem with the Emblem. I try to post things, I did not see in the Acurazine Forum but you can get in Europe. On the otherside you have a lot of parts we have to Import from USA or Asia because you dont get it in EU

You don't need any special tools. Just use the hair blowdryer, point at it for a few minutes, it will melt the glue and you can remove the TSX emblem. (That's how people debadge their car). I removed the ACURA emblem on the left rear.

Use Googone to clean things up. Get some double sided tape (I use the red 3M ones from Staples) and install.

speaking of type s though, acura has a perfect candidate with the tsx v6 for the type-s treatment. its a beautiful car, add around 15-20 hp, 6spd manual, sport suspension with lsd, some exclusive wheels/tires, bodykit/spoiler, and interior treatment. im sure it will sell as good as the 07-08 tl-s, which sold like hotcakes and is still in high demand. it will never happen though..

I think it looks nice. Specially because all Type R/S vehicles were top of the line which most rice cars are crap.

I'm from southern ontario, just outside of Toronto. One of my best friends lives in Vancouver.

Its true, it appears that the North America acura market is behind the European market. So once they get a upped TSX Type-S with body kit/spoiler what not then we will too.

thats not true. the civic and integra type r were very affordable and far from top of the line. same for the rsx-s. type s/r cars have always been high performance machines and just putting a badge onto a regular car is rice. and btw, a car cannot be rice from the factory. the owner makes the car rice.

I love the term rice.
Either way, I think one badge won't make the car too bad, specially when the rest of my car is clean.
I have a cbp, 35 tint, blue door lights to match the dash lights, its all clean.

My uncle lives in Mississauga, and one of my best buddy lives in Burlington.

Regarding Type S, they have the Accord Type S in the UK but it's has the 2.2 iDTEC diesel engine (180hp). They also have a Type S in Germany which uses the 2.4L I4 engine like ours.

The German Type S engine, tranny and suspension is all stock. They added GT/Type S aero kit (consist of front lip spoiler/skirt, side skirt and rear bumper); red interior ambient lights, sports aluminium pedals, 18" rims, clear corner front markers and Type S badges.

My CBP has OEM blue ambient interior light kit, sports aluminum pedals, front lip spoiler, rear sports/Modulo bumper, sports suspension (A-spec coilover), 19" Rage rims, speaker rings, sports MT shift knob w/leather boot, CT Icebox and 35 tint as well.

Honda has the engine, they're deciding what US model to put it in.

The 2.2L iDTEC engine is jewel of an engine. In base form it produce 148hp/ 258ft/lb of torque and 42mpg in the Accord. In Type S form, it produce 178hp/280ft/lb of torque and 40mpg in the Accord Type S.

I'd rather have the type-s diesel engine too. 23hp less, but 108lb more torque and 40mpg? Why they don't offer it here in the US boggles my mind, especially since better mileage cars has been the trend.

I don't get Honda.
What a great motor, would be perfect in the TSX and the Accord!

The engine is expensive and I'm not sure if they can meet US emission requirements (using their new catalyst, or with urea injection like Mercedes). With gas prices dropping so much, the demand/cry for diesels in the US has decreased.

Back to the type s emblem lol... Ive decided that I don't want to debadge any part of the car then re-badge. So, I think, I might put it somewhere in the interior where it would nice and clean, and not cluttered.
