Tsx totaled from insurance company
Hi all,
so two weeks ago my beloved 2012 Acura TSX tech was hit by an idiot who ran a red light… with 153k miles one her they totaled the car.
bought it brand new and loved it- engine and transmission were perfect and about 27 MPG…
was debating having it repaired but estimates were about 9k for repairs and that’s without seeing internal issues- hit front passenger fender and wheel. They said the apron in the wheel well was damaged and the passenger airbag went off…
not a fan of any of the new cars right now, and with rates high and inflation high… may debate buying a ZDX, but still early figuring it out.
2G TSX- great car!!! Enjoy yours

They will total a car when the costs to repair are more than the value of the car. You might be able to argue for a thousand or more, but that's about it. Your best chance for a deal is to buy it back, but that's risky, especially since it will probably have a salvage title, further degrading it's value.
I kind of like the new TLX V6 with SH-AWD. If you can wait, maybe the new Integra or Civic Si. Problem is all of those cars are hard to find, new or used, not to mention expensive.

Sorry to hear and glad that you are okay! I am seriously considering getting rid of my TSX for an assortment of reasons but a part of me does still want to hang on to it.
Unless you are referring to the Type-S there is no TLX V6 anymore and it's a 4 cyl turbo.
