TSX require or recommend premium gas?
DOn't be Cheap A**
The manual says that premium unleaded 91 or higher is required,
it also says that if you continue to use 87 captain cheapo gas,
then your engine will be subject to engine damage.
Read your owner's manual and don't be a mister captain cheapo

Your engine won't get damaged from using 87 octane fuel. It has a knock sensor that retards timing to avoid that. Over time, it can damage your catalytic converter, though. And that's expensive to replace.
But the retarded timing results in reduced power and fuel economy. So it's pointless to fill up with 87 or 89 to save a few dollars if you fill up more often anyways. You end up not saving anything.
