TSX Grille - Paint only upper half or whole grill or keep it stock?

Just wanted to see what you guys think between the two grill options:

1) Paint only the upper half of the grill ?

examples:

2) Paint entire grill

example:

3) Keep the grille OEM stock:

example

I would first plasti-dip first then clear coat and if I like it, consider getting my body shop to paint it the oem color.

In my honest opinion, I feel that the oem grill design is a bit to bold and overstated for the tsx. It's kinda like a hot chick wearing Mr. T chains, it just kinda spoils it a bit, but that's just my subjective views. Others may have differing views on this subject. To each their own

Remember to tell me which option you think is 'more' attractive in your view / perspective.

Thanks in advance to anyone who give input.

Depends what your car color is. I like the painting the whole grille look. I don't like chrome.

Car is BLACK inside and out.

I wanted to do the upper half of the grill trim, b/c I think it's a easier job for plasti-dip and still looks good, but any comments from members are always appreciated.

If you are going to paint it, do the entire grill.

My only thing is I don't want to bother removing the bumper to do the entire grill.

For those who have painted their bumper with plasti-dip, did you remove your bumper or just tape the surrounding areas?

tape around it
if you get some overspray with the plasti dip, just rub it off

I like the entire painted dark painted look
but find it silly that so many are into alternative grills.
Alternative Girls would be more fun.

Beware ... once you paint it ... you will continue
to paint after every little chip ...

I think the only colour that can pull off the painted grille on the TSX is black, and probably Grigio. Thinking about doing it with Pearl White, it would look like a fucking Camry.

But, yeah, paintmatch the entire thing!!

I happen to like the stock Acura grille, but like EL_PIC said, why not look into alternative grilles instead? I'm sure there are some awesome aftermarket grilles out there. IMO, I don't think that having an all-black grille on a black vehicle would look all that great.

If you're painting go all out and do the whole grille just so it looks uniform

Hey that 4th pic looks familiar! lol...

I'm personally a fan of pic #2, although I don't think a lot of owners have gone that route.

If you're looking for the paint-matched grille evangelist, look no further than DerwoodEE. I'm pretty certain he was the first 2nd gen'er on here to have done it.

^ Ha, I thought the first pic look familiar... but no longer as I have restored my grille to stock. I don't know if I got used to the carbon fiber or what, but now it seems like the stock one looks better.

Is there a link of a diagram that shows how to remove the grill? I want to get my grill wrapped or painted asap but I need to know how to take it apart and how long it takes

Hey I'm new to this. I have 09 tsx and my lower part of the grill is scratched. Is there a way to find a chrome color match and paint it? Or I have to get a new part? Any suggestions? Thanks.
