tsx to become a limited production v6 between ILX & TL
the tsx will survive but apparently only with the silky powerful J35. the ilx will take over the 4cylindar sales (if it already has not see tsx sales dropping here).

The report mentions the possibility of the TSX continuing as a limited-production V-6 model to remain between the ILX and TL.

But I like being one of the rare v6ers...

um, I doubt this article is absolute truth...the v6 barely sells, they are gonna tank the sales of a car that actually brings people to the acura dealership...wtf, who the heck is the COO there?

If this is true theyll likely continue to only offer the v6 with the 5at for the cars last year(s). We already know there are no 2013 changes planned, and it makes no sense to give the car a new transmission at this stage financially.
What will be interesting will be seeing how they handle the new Euro Accord, which should be just around the corner...

Yeah theyd tank it, why not? The tsx is a solid value, there is likely a higher profit margin on the ILX vs the TSX so while big brother still looms its probably hurting sales on the ILX

We have yet to see any concepts, renderings, camo cars, or anything resembling a next gen euro accord from Honda. Well likely see something incredibly soon, and then it'll launch as a 2014/2015 and well have it a few months after, maybe a mid 2014 launch or something. I wouldn't be surprised if the tsx goes off the lineup for 2014, the tl continues through 2014 as a no changes model, and then is replaced by the new tlx-euro accord. Makes alotta sense for Honda and cleans up their model line a little bit. Earth dreams engines are officially ONLINE so expect a v6 out of that range powering the new car!!

Stak that is a sweet concept. I wish someone would release a car like like without dumbing it down for the public. I'm sure there would be a lot of people who would like an aggressive looking car like this.

^not related to the euro accord but judging by honda's latest design choices expect those sharp creases down the side, pronounced fog area, and rounded off trunk to make it into our next acura product.
The sharper sides, good, but the rounded off trunk does not look aggressive, and i hope to god they leave the exhausts visible on the next mid size acura.
They are not visible on the new ILX, RDX, and RLX, which worries me.

There could be a flip side to this, though, and you could see the 6-speed Auto in the V6 TSX. Why do I say this? Because it's already on the TL and other cars in the lineup, it is going to be on the new Accord V6, and improved MPGs is always a great selling point of course (along with being a requirement in the coming years).

yes acura is getting rid of the 5 speed. even the civic will be cvt. let's just hope the tsx wont be cvt as well, i actually prefer a v6 honda 5AT to altima v6 cvt. another thing i forgot to mention is the new earth dreams 3.5L engine with 310hp that acura (tsx) will be getting. the current v6 tsx is proven to be underrated on the dyno so i cant imagine how powerful the new tsx will be. damn i wish i had a v6 tsx.
