Tint recommendation in Northern VA/DC area?
#2
i looked around craigslist and found a guy that did it for half the price of every shop i ever called..
everyone else quoted me like 250-300 (for my S2000 with 2 windows and a tiny rear window). this guy did it for $120.
he did a bang up job on the S and offered a life time warranty to so when it was time to get the TSX done, i called him again.
he did the whole thing for $160.
the only thing... neither of us could figure out how to take the 3rd brake light out so he had to cut around it. id reccomend you find out how before calling someone and take it out yourself. im sure theyll charge you a bit more for it since it doesnt seem like a easy process.
soo..
look around on craigslist.
there are tons of folks who work at tint shops that do side work on the weekends.
take out the 3rd brake light.

Burning Brakes
Wow are tints that expensive up over there? High money places like tint world wanted 280 from me but I went to a sketch shop that's always busy and they did it for 80 with 10 year warranty. I thought it was pretty worth it. You might get better results by posting in the regional section.
And the 3rd brake light: Only way to get into the area is to remove the whole deck which involves removing the seats first. Some members on the forum have a full rear tint and I pretty sure the installer didn't want to go through all that trouble. Any installer can fill in that gap if they have a long enough squeegee. My installer had the squeegee but lied and told me if I want that spot filled in I would have to pay an extra 80 bucks cause its more work but I saw his co worker using the long squeegee on the car next to mine...
