Yes, you can get XM NavTraffic , NavWeather, or both without radio subscription.

:/
You've got to be kidding me. Where to begin? For starters, the Elantra offers a whopping 148 hp and 131 lbs. ft. of torque - copared to 201/172 for TSX. Elantra's rear suspension is a low-cost torsion axle - there is no rear stabilizer bar. Elantra does not offer HID headlamps, you get halogen. Moving inside, The Elantra's leather is nowhere near the quality fo the TSX and the Elantra door inserts are vinyl. No power seats in Elantra. It's tech package stereo is nowhere near the ELS. The Elantra Nav screen is 7" compared to 8" for TSX. TSX tech will download your entire phone book so you can control it on screen, while Elantra will not. Lastly, TSX tech offers voice control of nearly all in-car functions, especially voice controlling iPod functions - while Elantra offers voice control of phone function only. We won't even get into the difference in dealer experience. Let me know the next time Hyundai gives you a loaner while your car is in for service.

The Elantra is a decent car for the money, but when you drive in in comparision to competitors, it feels as cheap as it is (of its competitors, most reviewers prefer the Ford Focus). Believe me, when comparing the TSX and the Elantra, there's a reason for the huge difference in price. You get what you pay for.

I was told the same thing at the dealership on Monday. No XM radio subscription needed to get Weather and/or Traffic. Was told just to call XM and they'd hook it up.

You still have to pay for the traffic and weather, you just won't get the radio stations.

I would get a 3M. we have used Solar Guard as well as 3M, and there is a night and day difference. solar guard sucks. it's way too thick and turn yellow after a while. I havent seen any problems with the 3M.

Here's what I have seen to happen 3M, it will take hours to remove once it gets to this point. I stopped using it years ago.

Definitely get the tech package. I had originally been looking at the Sonata SE fully loaded but then went over to Acura to see what they were offering.
I went in inquiring about the TSX without Tech but the nice sales lady (she's kind of hot too) showed me the tech package while I was test driving and I was amazed at the technology.
Could take a while in the beginning getting used to all the features, but I have no regrets at all. Paid 35k including tax, title, destination, doc fees, etc.
Definitely get the tech package!
