Tar Spot Removal?

Hi all,

Looking for suggestions. I live in Chicago, don't have a garage and usually park my car near or under the train tracks. I've noticed some kind of tar substance land on my hood and was looking for ways to get it off without ruining anything. I've tried using the goo gone for auto and it works on getting the stuff off but leaves a little bit of a swirl. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try a fallout remover.
Meguiars ultimate all wheel cleaner maybe.
AFTER that and a good wash, use bug and tar remover and/or claybar.

then you need to seal it with some sort of synthetic wax sealant.

You'll be at it all day, bruv.

OR...
just go on living your life.

Your swirl is probably due to rail dust or other gritty materials on your paint when you are "rubbing heavy" to remove that tar like substance....Autosol is another chemical used to remove stuff like that. It might be a bit tougher to obtain unless you know someone in the car business, esp detail oriented.
