SRI to CAI conversion help

so i am switching my SRI to CAI (finally) but i have a problem/question:

how low/flush does the filter sit for you guys? it seems like my sits so low that its touching the bottom flap near the fog lights where it almost makes it hard to put the flap back in?

Ed,When I switched back and forth I didn't have the same issue, make sure all ur bolts are lined uP, ur filters in as far as it can go and if you need some slack try to bring the two tubes closer in the noodle, good luck -west coast killer

alright, everything seems good so far. however, when i start up the car, it seems like i hear a "bang" from the tube hitting a part of the car? but after that it's all good. anyone experiencing anything similar?

didnt happen until i converted the intake tho, and it's only when i start the car. i think it's just the tube hitting a part of the car cuz when i was installing the tube was pretty close to the surrounding part

Ed, its actually a small metal clank you will hear at startup, the rumbling of the engine causes the metal tube to move and hit another metal piece towards the bottom, i noticed when i first installed my CAI, if you look closely you can see exactly where it makes contact and then just put a little piece of double sided tape there.

I had the exact same issue and was surprised noone ever mentioned it before, mine clanged enough so that it left a small mark where i needed to put the tape, ever since then, no more clang
