The steering wheels look practically the same except for the half with little holes in it. Maybe I'll take a pin and poke some holes in my wheel.
That accessory is a joke.

Sorry, I don't have the old wheel now. It feels a little thicker due to the leather I think. I like the feel of the leather better than the stock wheel. Is it worth the cost? Probable not. But I didn't like the stock wheel and didn't want the hassle of getting it recovered. OK, honestly I didn't know you could get it recovered but even if I had know, still to much hassle for me.

I honestly love the upgrade from the stock wheel. I feel like I have better control and can manipulate the steering easier and quicker. Fits my hands just right too. For nearly $600 purchased and installed from the dealer? Eh. I'd say no. But I got a deal on mine which made up for the dealer cost to install. It evened out nicely and I'm still happy with it and the money I invested. Besides, it matches my shifter.

Ok.. I got a quote of ~$400 for a custom rewrap of my TSX steering wheel with thicker padding in a leather/alcantera combo from http://dallassteeringwheel.com/
Just picked up an used wheel from ebay for $50 shipped. This is what it will look like when it's done (still debating on the stripe). The pic below is a wheel from a Supra. But you get the idea. Our wheel will have a much thick rim.
