Splash Guards

What are your thoughts on splash guards? Do they look good on the new TSX with the color-matched paint? I know they offer some protection during the winter, etc., but wondering who has them and if you're happy with the way they look. Thanks.

Hi - I have the color-coded splashguards on my new PMM 2010 Tech. They are very nice and un-obtrusive. I like them because they are subtle, in the same way the car is, IMHO, flashy in a conservative way (if that makes any sense).

I have to find time to take some decent pix and post them, but I'm very happy so far with them.

Ben

I had them installed and I like how they look. My Avatar pic was before install.
Check out the following thread. My car looks similar and it will give you an idea as to how they'll look.

Thanks, those pics look great. I just bought a 2010 TSX and worked the splash guards into the deal. However, since I wanted a specific color/tranny combo it took a long time to get. The dealership ended up not having splash guards in stock when I picked up my car, so I need to go back this weekend to get them installed. From your pics, I'll like how they will look.

I think splash guards look really good, especially if you are lowered. I thought our 2nd gen tsx's come stock with them paintmatched

They're great - I installed them myself and they look great, as well as protect the body from excess splash and road debris..

Mine came with them 'dealer prep' installed. I also have the side molding dorsal fins, neither of which would be high on the list to install, but it came with it, so, yeah, I kinda like the splash guards.

I plan on getting them. I've had the Honda OEM guards on my Civic, Accord, Odyssey and will have them on my TSX. I just got the car so I need to order.

I'll mail order them from H&A:

You can also take the sheet to your dealer and ask if they'll price match. If they don't, tell them to take a hike and order online.

They don't look too bad, and they they work well. The only thing bad is they are not compatible with the sports bumper, so take that in mind i you're looking to upgrade your bumpers.

Good point. I had the OE splash guards on my 91 SE-R, and in 99 when I removed them, the edges had worn through the paint over the years.

So, if one's going to do the bumper & side skirts later, I'm curious if they will cover the line from the mud guards on the rear of the front fender? I wouldn't worry about the rear bumper as it would be replaced.
