Something stronger than 3M Tape?

Something stronger than 3M Tape?
We had two days of nice weather here on Friday and Saturday, (65+ degrees) so I decided to install my Factory Style Lip spoiler. I followed the DIY that was posted and went with the no drill option. Everything is fine, its not gonna go anywhere, but the two sides seem to want to lift away from the decklid, and no matter what I do I can't seem to get them to stay down.
So my question is, I went to Autozone and got 3m Molding tape (3M 03609) 'Super Strength' Auto. I re-taped the area and while it was better it is still coming up. Well google being what it is, I now see there is also a 3M Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment tape (06397) that is out there and I am wondering if that is even stronger. Should I get my hands on that and try it or will it be more of the same? Or are there are any other ideas that don't involve melting paint or drilling holes.
Thanks!

I guess worst case I could pull it off and re-tape, but I'm not sure it would correct the issue.

3M tape - you want the grey color tape.
Your problem is because it's to cold. You need to heat up the lip spoiler so it's soft and pliable then it will stay down. It's best to install it in the summer time, the hotter the better or at least it's warm enough for the sun to soften the lip spoiler.

my experience is the part should be cleaned with alchohol to remove all wax and such,
but they do sell primers.
for tape I have
06377
.030 thick grey
and
06382
.045 thick black
primers
3M 6396 Adhesive Promoter packets

if any of this will help PM with what you might need.

Not only heat it, but attempt to do it in a warm garage so it has time to adhere. Plus, clean it with alcohol (as mentioned in previous post) before applying. I would remove and re-tape. It would take a few minutes to do and be well worth it. Good luck.

My body shop used some black colored sealant on my sideskirts. I ended up selling them and now the gunks of sealant are stuck onto the body pretty good. I tried heating one up and removing it, but the paint came off with it. They offered to respray that section for free.
