be careful with valve stems, i forgot which kind, but one can fuse to the valve, something about an alloy and TPMS or something, and you totally fuck up the valve. i'll let someone else chime in

Yeah I think these stem caps are plastic painted? not sure... but I know I purposely bought the ones that stated "Will not interfere with Tire Pressure Monitoring stems/systems". So knock on wood, I hope that will be ok. I will install it this weekend.

if they are metal, and you wnat to use trhem, be sure to put something on the threads so the metals dont GALL.

like antisieze would work.

or better, if they are TPMS safe, then yo ushould be fine.

Correct. There are two issues. Te first is that the metal will bond to the valve stem (Acura learned this the hard way in 2005 which resulted in Acura replacing a boatload of sensors on the RL.

The second issue is that the metal cap may interfere with the transmission/reception of the TPMS signal.

You should also verify that the caps are, in fact, plastic since the guarantee of "TPMS safe" is only as good as the vendor. Don't use them if they are metal.

Sorry to hear that man. Yeah mine are diff't. They're the same manufacturer as the ones for my Nissan Z and my 5.0. They're pretty sturdy. Also during the winter, I have winter rims and tires anyways, so hopefully that will help make them last longer.
