Seriously..remove bumper to replace fogs?

I still can't believe Acura expects either a dealer..or an owner to remove the bumper to replace a broken fog light...so I didn't ;-) I know my way around Japanese cars a little bit so after jacking up the car, recieving new replacements fogs (From Ebay @ $140.00 for a pair), I got it done..
What a PITA. Anyway, it can be done.... it takes patience..and a little bit of superglue on the tip of a phillips screwdriver to put in the fogs ;--)

Removing a bumper only took me 30 minutes the first time I did it. And now it takes me about 10 minutes. I think defcon has the record for removing the bumper on the foryum though

You mean the entire housing? If it's the full housing, then it's to be expected to remove the full bumper to replace...I mean it's something that happens, but it's not something that they expect to happen often enough for them to make a special way to do it without removing the bumper seeing as how they're mounted on the bumper. It makes sense.

Bulb wise, if you read the manual, there's a way to replace without removing your bumper.

theres 2 ways to do it without replacing the bumper, but once again, depends on what needs to be replaced. you can gain access from a small panel on the bottom of the bumper right under the foglight, or you can pull back the liner of the front wheel well.

but taking off the bumper is easy. i'd assume that they do it in under 5 min at the dealer, even with all clips and parts in place

Well the lens was cracked...and I wanted to take pics...but after three weeks I STILL am not allowed to post pics after numerous posts and almost a month on the list? I replaced just the fog assembly ( it took three screws to get out). If I am ever able to post pics I will attempt.
Mr. moderator can you help a brutha out?

After both the foglights cracked on my 06 tsx, the dealer did remove the bumper to replace them (free as a one-time goodwill) I then put rockblocker on them-they seem to be working after 4+years.

Well...no luck on posting pics. I have posted thousand of times on different forums and know how to do it...but i have no option for "attachments" for this forum. Can someone enlighten me. Again, the "Posting Rules" state I "may" not post attachments..unsure why?

you have to go to photobucket, or site of that nature, upload it, copy the image url for "post on forum" and post that

Yeah, no one here can post attachments, we host the photo on other sites and then post it using good old img bbcode script.
