Security on TSX

Hey Guys, new to the forum and new to Honda/Acura. Brought a 2010 Acura TSX a month ago. Hoping to learn a lot here and contribute as much as I can.

Ok, enough with the intro. I know our TSX comes with a immobilizer but what other precautions should we take in protecting our cars from being stolen? Example: Steering wheel club.

what part of NY are you from? we've got people in bronx, queens, brooklyn, manhattan, none have had any problems. a TSX isn't a common vehicle involved in grand theft auto, the security system is pretty good. im not worried about leaving my car parked when i drive into the city, though i live across the bridge in jersey.

PS: what color, watcha plannin, pics? cmon man what kinda intro is this!!

Haha, I mean this is my first Honda product and I have seen numerous stolen Hondas on my block over the years. Residing in Brooklyn. Just wanted to be on the safe side.

The color is black on black hence the name screen name. Haha. Right now it is just a bone stock TSX in AT. Got an AT so my girl can drive too. No plans as of yet, probably get tints when I get a chance and painting the grille black.

only way you'll have problems is if you leave valuable stuff lurking inside the car while you're away. I always put purses, clothes, shopping, etc in the trunk...ive seen the ghetto with the tsx and haven't had problems yet. Other than the leather and the projectors lamps, this car doesn't carry much street value.

yea acuras aren't high on a thief's list of cars to jack. why jack the acura when there's plenty of bmw/benz or even easy to steal civic's a block away?

and +1 on where in brooklyn are you?

Are you sure your name isn't Bon B.? Like Don but with a B. That would make more sense to me.

I had a buddy who hung out in a rather, er, sketchy part of town with a first gen and he had crowbar marks on his door where numerous people tried to pry it open with no success. Not sure if we can relate that to the second gen, but if our CU2s were built with the same, if not better, security than the CL9, should be good!
