Scratched grill, tx to an effing SUV driver
Got out this morning to find out that a stupid SUV owner had backed up into my black TSX and left a series of big scratches on the grill. Out goes the minuscule respect that I had for SUV owners and NYC drivers, they are both douche-bags; since they never even bother to look behind while backing up and pretend that nothing happened.
Does anyone know of any compound that can help me buff out these scratches from the chrome part of the grill? Haven't got a quote yet to replace it but would like to fix it if possible.

If you like to color match your grill, it would be a great time to do it. You can compound the scratches and lay a few layers of fresh paint to cover up the scratches.

1. Clean grille and mask off surrounding areas. (May have to use 2000 grit sandpaper if the scratches are deep)
2. Use 3M rubbing compound with a buffer or power drill with buffer attachment.
3. Buff till scratches are gone.
4. Use 3M finesse swirl remover with buffer.
5. Apply polish of your choice.
6. Apply wax.
7. Should be good as new.
Watch some Youtube vids for details.

There are some asshole drivers out there. I was approaching a stop light which was green and an SUV was at the light not moving. I honk my horn and he started to move. A few feet later this mofo threw a CD out the window. The CD did a spiral in the wind and almost hit the hood of my car. Good thing it landed in front of me.

Sorry guys, haven't been able to take pics due to the snow storm that hit north-east yesterday. I've been looking into options to replace the upper part of the grille:
Option 1: Use plasti-dip to paint the grill (Most cost effective)
Option 2: Carbon-fiber upper grille by CT Eng ($129 very likable)
Option 3: Using compound to see if the scratches can be removed (Not too positive)
Option 4: Buy a OEM Replacement (Can anyone recommend any estores?)
As a personal preference, I would like to keep the car close to stock as possible since I have beige interiors (black exterior) and it would seem very weird to carry sporting pretensions with this color combination.
Would do you guys suggest?

If you want to modify your car, do it because you WANT to..not because your color combo allows you to. Even if you have a beige interior, having a carbon/paint matched grille is not weird at all.
