Recommendations of purchasing a TSX
Recommendations of purchasing a TSX
Hey, folks I currently plotting on purchasing a second vehicle. I've only owned two vehicles in my driving career a 2003 Acura Tl & a 2005 Acura Tl was wondering for those who do own a 2g tsx what your personal experiences have been and what other acuras you've owned would you be able to compare it to.
Mainly wondering about Drivability, Reliability, Maintenance cost (I'm more of a diyer), performance upgrades.

2012 SE owner here. 69k miles. Car has been trouble free minus oil changes. Only problems so far has been bad brake fluid level sensor, but that didn’t harm operation of the vehicle at all, just drove it til I got around to changing it. Interior grab handles are soft and scuffed up, but those are sold separately. There are threads here about it. We own a 01 TL and an RSX. The TSX is a nice middle ground. It handles like a smaller car, but is comfy like the TL (just not as plush but still quiet and comfortable for long trips).
Howdy! I have a 2011 Wagon, 150K miles. The biggest issues I have had with my tsx is a loud grinding noise from the timing chain tensioner on cold starts, and a parasitic draw from the Bluetooth module. The bluetooth module can cost you well up into the thousands for the part alone, luckily the dealer I bought the car from was able to source me one for free. My TSX replaced my 04 TL. I would say the biggest downfall is going from the 3.2L to the 2.4L. Even though I hardly pushed the TL with is at 275K miles, I can definitely feel the power difference, especially with the weight of the wagon. However, like JByron said, the TSX is just as comfy. Took it on a hefty 8 hour drive across Virginia into Tennessee and was fairly comfortable the whole way. As long as you keep up with maintenance, it will last you a while. There are some other guys on the forums who have done some pretty reliable supercharger installations. Car handles very well as is through the twisties. Also, during my trip, I managed about 35MPG.
