rear seat

Can anyone who has the 09 tsx or has ridden in it please help me out? Is the rear seat space really tight for your passengers? My frequent 2 backseat passengers are about 5"3 . My current car is the 01 honda accord and I am wondering if they would be comfortable in the rear of the 09 tsx.

It's bigger (by something like 1.5 inches) than the rear seat in the first. I regularly have 4 full grown adults in my car and all I've ever heard is how nice it is. Just out of courtesy I always ask the person behind me if I need to move the seat up and the only answer I've ever received is "no, I'm fine". A 5'3" individual should be perfectly comfortable.

You wouldn't want an adult sized person in the middle seat, but the other 2 are fine.

I've sat back there myself just to check it out and had plenty of leg room (I'm 6 ft). When I tried the middle seat, my head was touching the roof.

The bitch seat sucks in any car that isn't carrying around a sofa. I mean it will do in a pinch but you're not going to want to be the 5th guy on a 10 hour road trip. It works fine for kids though.

It's plenty of room for 4 adults. Fitting in a rear-facing car seat and having a full grown adult sit in the passenger seat on the other hand isn't as comfortable.

I'm 6'1", ingress/egress is a little tight for me in the back but I'm fine when seated.

Amen on the carseats. I used to have three forward facing Eddie Bauer barcaloungers in the backseat of my Q.

(Shudder)

I'd rather eat an Egg McMagnum than *ever* buy one more pack of Huggies.

The hard part is getting your feet in and out. The seat sits on the gas tank, which the corners protude more than the seat. The section between the bottom B-pillar and the carpeted area covering the gas tank is 6 inches at best. I would have given up a gallon or two of gas capacity if they had tapered the section of the gas tank to make it easier to get in and out of. As HeavyDuty stated, once in, it is very comfortble, but unless you pull up the front seats, your size 11's get wedged in the side of the door. This carpeted area under the seat is very hard to keep clean because people's shoes scrape against it.

Guess I aught to keep my size 14's up front.

They will be fine. If my family can all fit in my car (all over 6', 240lbs...) then you'll be fine!

The back seat is definitely tighter than its current Accord cousin. Though its not miserable, I wouldn't want to ride back there on any long trips.

I think the TSX's rear seats have great room. I've ridden the the backseats of the Lexus IS and Audi A4 and the TSX is a lot more roomy in the back...unless of course, you like the driver's seat leaned back all the way

Ah, I agree with you there. Toyota calls that a backseat!?!?

I wonder how the rear seat room in the TSX compares with the US Accord sedan.

my sister has an 09 accord, i think the backseat in the tsx is more comfortable. and anything is better than the backseat legroom (or lack thereof) in my boyfriends 01 audi s4.
