Yeah this thing is bad ass looking. Makes the whole front end look different!

Hey guys, rather than go with an H or an A....what if we deleted the emblem altogether? Made it a universal for either car?

My vote would be to NOT eliminate the A or H altogether. I think it's good to have something that states what the car is. Just my opinion.
Looks great...almost makes the front look more like the previous gen TSX's.

I had my guy take a look at the part yesterday and it looks like we can make this part. If we are going to make the H and A emblems we are going to need to hike up the cost of the grilles. We have to make 2 molds instead of one, and that means twice as much money. I am not sure I can hang with that, or if you guys can.

It looks like the grille will be $350 PLUS paint. We can probably paint free for the first 10 people though, whoever wants to get in on this.

How long until ready? I would love to get my hands on one with free paint. And I like the no emblem idea.

Could you and the designer possibely work on something that would easily be able to attach and A, an H, or just a plug to cover whatever holds the A or H.

That way you have only 1 mold and every customer is happy and can customize according to taste.

Might make it cheaper? Just an idea.

Have you seen these from RJ? http://ronjonwheels.com/4g-tl-grille.html

Could you do a thiner split center bar similar to those? or just no center bar. Just an idea.

i agree with the 1 molding. doesnt really matter to me but that would be cool if you can put a plug on and off.

Looks terrible without the emblem - you need something to connect all of those lines coming towards the center of the car - the emblem does just that.

i would say keep it on as well, wtih the choice of H or A. i think the car looses identiy when the front has no emblem.

I'd also presume to say that you need to keep the emblem to look its best.

I'm not sure you have the money or the required number of customers to provide the choice of an A or an H.

I prefer an A but another option is to produce the grill as rendered but also create an add-ons so you can put an A or an H on there. This way customers can buy the no emblem grill but have the ability to add an A or an H by just drilling 2 holes and screwing on the center "block" not sure how much it would complicate the molds though...

Imo, it does not look that great without an emblem. Would love to have this in the A since the OEM is only available in H.

How much is the deposit? I'm thinking of something like that.. Mugen maybe? if not.. then I would like it with the A.. Mugen-ing out the car is a tad bit expensive. How about a Carbon Fiber trunk for the VBP tsx? haha my brother and I sorta messed around and his braces went into the paint of the trunk lid.. haha..

I am thinking a $100 deposit would be fair to get started on either one.

Please PM me your paypal, I will send the 100 dollars deposit later on today.
By the way, my buddy just offered me his Volk SF challenge with new tires for 1100, so I'm afraid I won't be getting the buddy clubs, thanks though Marcus, I appreciate it.

I'm also interested in this with the Acura as opposed to the big H for honda. Also, i'm not a big fan of the standard box/grill behind the grill... what can be done about that?

I was planning to start taking pre-orders on this project next week, say $100. I need 10 people to get started. The same grille as the H except w an A instead and a black mesh for the grille material.

Questions asked: Answers...

Paint = optional
Cost = Estimated at $350 plus paint and shipping
Purchase extra A grille = I don't know what you mean. Nothing will be needed except paint.
CF instead of mesh = there needs to be mesh dude, for airflow. We can make the grilles in CF if that is of interest as well.

I think march30 is wondering about the need to purchase another A emblem or the replica is going to reuse the OEM Acura one.

As you can see from the test Honda version, the emblem on the OEM H is much larger in size.
