Quick question re: Seat memory

I just had the car at the dealer to fix a seat cushion issue (it was missing a bit of cushion from the factory).

Of course when I got it back the seat was in the wrong position so I reset it (it'll take me a month of fiddling to get it right again but I digress).

At work I decide to set the seat memory but for the life of me I can't get it to work and I don't have the manual here. For some reason, the Acura site where I can download the manual is blocked at work.

Since one doesn't do this frequently, I "set it and forget it" when I bought the car, but I thought that you just pushed and held the "M" button and then the corresponding "1" or "2" number and hold them both down a few seconds.

It doesn't work and pushing either of the memory buttons acts as if there is nothing stored - the seat doesn't move with those buttons (but obviously moves with the seat adjustment buttons).

In the settings on the car I verified that "memory position" was set to "on"

What am I overlooking? I don't know if I can stand the suspense until I get home tonight. Am I doing something wrong or did they break something?

It should only move when you unlock(or start?) the car with the other driver's remote if I remember correctly.

If I recall correctly: Push M button, Lights Blink. Press appropriate 1/2 button. Light stays on.

Done.

Strange thing, sometimes my car forgets my presets.

Thanks all. I guess my mistake was pressing and holding the M button. I'll try that in a few minutes.
