A question about HFP-R7 wheel and TPMS

I'm thinking about getting the 18" HFP-R7. They should fit right?

Another question is, will the TPMS fit on those wheels? Do tire places like Discount Tires swap TPMS? Is it true that the sensors needs to be re-programmed at the dealer or can Discount Tires do that also?

Thanks!

HFP-R7 Part# 08W18-SNX-100. They should fit with the same 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern. The offset is ET 45 compare to our stock 17" which is ET 55, meaning they stick out a bit more (more flush to fender -Looks better).

Just swap the TPMS to the the new wheel, no need to reprogram by dealer. The tire shop may want to pit new valve nut and washers on the TPMS to ensure a tight seal on the new rim (service kit cost around $10 from ebay).

Photo is an example of a service kit

I thought the tire pressure of the new tires would be different from the old (17incher)? Is there anything that needs to be done to readjust to the new tire pressure?

The dealer can reprogram (inch-up tire pressure programming/ low air pressure warning threshold reprogramming) using HDS (Honda Diagnostics System- essentially an OBDII reader).

The tire pressure recommendation for 18" Acura accessory wheels on our TSX is 38psi Front and 35psi Rear.

Most people on this forum managed to install the TPMS on their aftermarket wheels (upto 19") without having to go to dealer to reprogram, so it's really up to you.

Damn, tech, you're awesome man! That's a perfect screen name for you.

I don't even know WTF the discussion is but I admire your contributions and thoroughness.
