Question about door edge guards & mud guards

Question about door edge guards & mud guards
I have a 2010 Acura TSX.
Has anyone here ever installed the door edge guards.
I was thinking of getting the door edge guards and the
instructions say that I need touch up paint. I don't know if
I want to put this on my car if it is going to affect the paint
where I would have to use touch up paint.
I just ordered the mud flaps.
The dealer said that there were pre drilled holes already
to put on the mud flaps.
I don't see pre drilled holes but I do see little rubber flat pieces,
I'm assuming that I would take those pieces off
and I would see the holes for the screw to put the mud flaps on.
I would probably need a 90 degree screwdriver too, right?
Please post back to me.
Thanks

I have installed the door edge guards on a few other Hondas and Acuras. They are painted metal parts, not plastic like people might think. The touch up is needed on the inside edge of the door because some material needs to be removed to press them on. These are a permenant installation item.
You will need to get the instructions from the dealer if it isn't clear how to install them. Most if not all holes should be pre-existing. Also your best bet in the rear is to remove the wheels.

for the front, youre going to have to turn your wheels
if you plan on getting the sports rear bumper and sideskirts, you'd have to get rid of the mud guards since they get in the way

Thanks a lot guys
I was going to remove the wheels anyways
cuz i wanna get those damn screws out of the rotors anyways
because we all know that once they get rusted, they are
a pain to remove.

I have the door edge guards and they are definitely a permanent installation. Glad I had them when I promptly opened by rear driver side door into the beam in my garage right after I got my car home – wasn’t used to the different dimensions. They totally absorbed the blow that would have otherwise put a nice dent and nick in my brand new door I’d be careful installing them myself b/c they look like they could be a problem to fix if they are initially put on out of whack.

Get 3M instead
I thought about getting the acura door edge guards but I didn't like a few things about them:
1. Bulky-looking
2. Permanent installation
3. Expensive
4. Metal
I went with 3M door edge guard instead. $30 shipped. Same stuff as the 3M clear bra but much narrower like a thin roll of white-out.

I don't have close up pics of them on my car, but here they are from the acrua site:
they are completely color matched, so you can't see them unless you are right up on top of my car.
the fact that they are metal is a good thing in my book - like I said above, they totally saved my brand new door when I whacked it in my garage. Had I had the 3m version, there is no way it would have protected the door from dents.
