Smile Purchase advice - High mileage 2012 TSX special edition?

Should I buy a 2012 TSX special edition with 60k miles already?

Thats appx 20k miles per yr, depending on when it was bought new.

Any known issues/problems/quirks that I need to look out for?

Thanks!

60K miles is not high mileage, though they were accumulated fairly rapidly. The only maintenance required in 3 years and 60K miles is oil and filter changes (including air and cabin filters), and potentially a brake fluid change (every 3 years regardless of mileage, so it might depend on when the car went into service). As long as the price reflects the higher than average mileage (which you should remember will also effect resale if you add miles at an average rate), and was maintained properly, it could be a score if the price is low enough and the car is in good shape.

I got an 2009 with 54K in 2011. No problems here. It's not really consider high mileage in my opinion, they are consider out of manufacture warranty so the bargaining for price is on your side. at least it did for me, that's how I ended up with this car instead of a 0 mile 2011. You always get an option for "extended warranty" too.

Is there a 2nd gen high mileage TSX thread?

60k isnt really high mileage on these cars imo. My friend has an '04 with 140k miles and he hasn't run into very many problems. I plan on keeping mine until 200k atleast.

Yeah it's not, but the OP's concern is a vehicle having so many miles racked up in a short amount of time.

(Warranty expired. Extended ones from dealer way expensive. I worry about tech in mine f'ing up...but don't have one)

Thats appx 20k miles per yr, depending on when it was bought new.
(If it's been serviced no biggie, i just passed 60k on my 2012)

Any known issues/problems/quirks that I need to look out for?
(seat squeek, sunglass holder rattle, window rattle when partway down, clunk initially putting it in gear and backing up or going forward)

Thanks!

You're welcome

Note: 4 cylinder though, not sure about some for SE.

In retrospect, not very helpful. Ooops
