Price Quote..Input Needed
I am located in the northeast and was just given a quote for a 2010 TSX w/o Tech for 27,500. Is this a good deal or should I have gone lower.
At first he started me off at 30,000ish then drop to 28,000 but eventually got it to 27,500. I was swinging for 26,900 but of course he said no.

A couple of points here. Acura does regional programs so I wouldn't base my negotiation in the Northeast on what some one got for a price in Cali. There was a secret cash incentive about 2 months ago based on reaching an objective set by Acura corporate. This program caused some people to get killer deals near the end when dealers knew they had reached their TSX objective and were playing with the hidden dealer cash here and there to "steal" deals from other Acura dealers who may not have hit their objective and didn't have that money to play with. That program is over, those deals are gone now so don't base your negotiations on any deal that occurred before 5-1-2010.
Does the dealer have the color combo you are looking for? If so I'd offer to split the difference at $27200 ask for some all season mats and start enjoying your new TSX.

NY is a relatively competitive market, not as competitive as Cali but not as bad as VT with one dealer in the entire state.

If #'s haven't changed much then I believe $27.3k for non-tech is inventory price. See if you can get it for that.
Either way, you're in pretty good shape and what you're currently at is on target.

They did recently increase the destination charge across the board by about $50-60, but not a major issue.

Just bought a '10 TSX w/ tech for $28,249. If you get a few dealerships going back and forth in a bidding war, you can get an amazing price. When I was doing the final financing, the finance guy thought I was buying the non-tech because of the price!

Too bad some of us don't have the luxury of having two dealers to choose from. Pretty much only one in my area, unless I want to do some long distance driving.

wow...that is a steal with the tech package.

I committed to the dealership that I wont post my price but I bought 2010 TECH version in SF Bay area around long weekend. I paid way below the lowest I have seen in this thread. Also I got them to get me all weather mats, splash guards and trunk liner.
truecar.com was my start.
So for the guys who are in market, push them hard. ITs interesting times. Just so you know the Invoice price without any promotions form facotry gives the dealer3-4% profit + the hold back.

What is the trick to get them to throw in the all weather mats, splash guard and trunk liner?

+1. Check out fightingchance.com. I ended up with non-tech 6 spd with splash guards, wheel locks and body side molding for $27,200. I had lower prices (around $27) but the dealers did not have the cars on their lots, could not tell me when they would have it, and I had already sold my old car.
Absolutely wait until the end of the month!
