Polished Metal vs. Basque Red

Hey guys,
I'm trying to pick between a TSX with Polished Metal w/Taupe or a Basque Red w/ Parchment. I'm leaning towards the red becuz its a hard color to find, but the parchment interior is scaring me off. I heard it gets dirty quickly, and I really love the Taupe interior. I also see many TSXs in gray around my area, so I sort want it to be unique. Could you guys give me any insight? Thanks

I wanted basque red so bad (red's my favorite color) and it was one of the better red cars, but MTs did not come in basque red. I think the Honda/Acura cherry red is a really really nice red. Go for the basque red.

i dont like how the red looks on our tsx lol. so i'd say silver. red is rare, but whether it looks good or not depends on you!

You'd stick out more if you went with the red. You'd be more "unique".

Go with the red for sure. I wanted red as well, but it was only available in the Tech model, which I did not want.

Red for sure. I wish we had the Basque Red/Taupe combo that is available in Canada.

I would have gone with Basque Red/parchment, but MT was more important so I got Polished Metal/ebony. I really like it, and the stealth look is probably better for living in downtown Philly anyway.

You can probably figure out what I'd recommend
I really like the basque red. It is pretty rare that I see another red tsx. In different lighting conditions, it takes on pretty different color tones.
I've had mine for a little over 2 years now and the parchment interior still looks brand new.

I have a 2010 Basque Red TSX with ebony interior. They are more difficult to locate in that combination, most had parchment. I drove a couple of parchment interior cars, both had scuff marks on the kick panels. My g/f has a 2010 Grigio w/ebony, also a good combination. The Basque Red shows a lot more dust than the Grigio, which is a problem here in SoCal. In cloudy weather, the Basque Red looks almost brown, but when the sun is out, it looks great! Bottom line, it's your personal preference.

I have the red and it is definitely rarer. The only problem is if you want to do any type of modification. Color matching the beak with grey or black is fine but I dunno how it would look on red. You would have to go with like a carbon fiber grille and black wheels. However I do like the stock grille on the red better than I do on other colors. But hey, just get what makes you happy.

I saw a Basque Red V6 the other day, I must admit, it looks very nice. Almost look brown in the afternoon light,it's certainly unique as this is the only other one I saw in 2 years.

Now if they bring back Milano Red, then there is no contest.

I test drove a 09 Basque Red Pearl/ebony 6MT/wtech tsx when they first arrived at the dealer. If I had known that they would discontinue it I would have bought it. I decided, since I was not in need of a car then I would wait. I also test drove a v6 basque red pearl tsx-it was nice but I do not want automatic.

I'd still go with BRP over PMM, though. There's a BRP TSX that lives near me...I see it like once a month maybe. It looks sexy. One of the only BRP TSX's I've ever seen, too.

Thanx for all the help! I just picked up a Basque Red from my dealer today. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow if I can, but I might wait until I get my rear wing spoiler install whenever the dealer gets the part in. It's a beautiful color and I'm glad I went for it.

Congrats on the new TSX!! What matters is that you got a color you wanted.
I'm sure you will love the car so much you will not want to get out of it..lol
I had a tough choice between white and palladium metalic. I ended up with Palladium. I had a black 07 TSX with Ebony and the Ebony was nice but i wanted to go lighter this time. I got the Taupe interior.
Enjoy!
