Funny you should bring this up, I'll post pics of what I believe to be a similar issue in my car in about 5 mins here.

Not the same location but I 'think' this is the same 'idea' of what has happened and what we would like repaired...hopefully

They use to sell these kits at AutoZone... bunch of different color of paint, some finishing paper, and a hot iron.

I never had any luck on soft areas, but it may work on hard plastics.

MR742 ooh idk about that, it'd be hard because its soft and the texture. it is hollow on the other side, so maybe take off the panel, and try to smooth that over from the other side?

OP, still waitin on pics

on the drivers side i actually have a smooth indent in the area that MR742 posted. i drive with my left hand mainly and rest my elbow by the window, and i guess through doing that for nearly 2 years, the piece kinda wore in. its literally just a nook for exactly where my elbow is, its kinda funny

Good luck on that one, you might be better off with a new piece for that, thats like fabric/plastic composite of some kind.

Sorry didnt mean to threadjack, thought I was helping but after I posted and read your OP a couple times I realized you may have been talking about the hard silver plastic and not the dashboard.

On a side note, I'm not 100% sure but from a quick glance at the schematic for the door I'm pretty sure I'd have to buy a whole new panel if it cant be repaired and thats a couple hundred bucks so I'll just live with it for now...
