I can't say that I am impressed at the difference. The first shot is of the car with stock fogs. The second shot is with one stock fog and one Piaa fog. There is a SLIGHT difference but not enough to justify $100 IMO. Can you tell which is which?

I can definitely tell the right one is the PIAA bulb. I agree though, don't know if I would justify spending $100 on those bulbs for that. But pictures are hard to show true lighting, it might look better in person.

I wish I could tell you it does look better in person but it doesn't look any better then what you see in the photo. Unfortunately what you see is what you get.

I'm trying to make them so they are more the same color as the headlights. I know I probably won't find anything that will be exact but the Piaa offers very little difference IMO.

Well, whatever y'all do, *please* don't put a higher wattage bulb that what the car came with. You will melt wiring, housings, etc. ACK!
Then again, I'm obviously not talking to Darren, as his screen name suggests, he's an EE...am I right?

I'm not an EE but I do understand a little bit about wattage, I think. So no, I would never go with higher wattage.

Usually the wiring used isn't near it's capacity for what it can carry, this to allow for potential surges, etc. As long as you arn't jumping from 55W to like 110W without considering the amount of energy the wires used are capable of handling, you'll be OK. There's tables that you can cross reference the amount of circuit watts to the appropriate wire gauge for length in feet. So as long as the stock wires exceed the required gauge, you'll be fine. However you'll also want to check the fuse to be sure it'll allow for the increased current as well.
If you increase the bulb wattage from 55W to 80W, you'll want to verify a minimum of 14AWG wire is used.

well stock is 4300k
you bought 4000k right?
more matching stock would be a 4300k bulb.
but matching HIDs and halogens doesn't always come out perfect.
the color from the pictures look pretty similar to me.
but it's hard to tell without seeing the light cast onto something.
