Oem hid
I have an '09 TSX and I was wondering if anyone notice if their HID's are yellow. I know the 1st generation TSX HID's look blue and my '08 TL Type-S HID's are pure white. What's going on here?

The TSX's daytime running lamps that are always on are yellow, but those are the non-HID high-beam lamps operating at a reduced brightness. Perhaps that's what you were looking at. The low-beam HID headlamps are indeed a bluish-white color. HIDs are standard on all TSXs in the US, but I believe in Canada the lowest trim level does not have HIDs.

Oh yeah, duh me, the DRL's.
OP, you can get "HID look" bulbs for the DRL/high beam from PIAA.com or Sylvania Silverstars at a local auto parts store.

I have an '09 TSX Tech Package in the US and nope it's the one behind the projector that looks yellow to me. I know what the DRL's are and that's not what I'm talking about. Could it be that I'm standing to close and that I need to stand further out to see the projector cutoff to see the blue/white? Or do they need to be broken in?

I have no idea what you're talking about then bro. Mine are HID blue and so are those of every other TSX I have seen. The only yellow light behind the low-beam projector is the parking lamp. Acura doesn't manufacture any cars for the U.S. without HID headlamps, so it's not like they put the wrong system in there by accident. Unless you somehow got a Canadian-spec entry level TSX (which doesn't have HID standard), your HID headlamps cannot possibly be standard halogen yellow-colored.

yes!
It takes an average of 50 hours for the bulb to wear in. All xenon lights actually color shift to 6000k (pure white) as time goes on. the 3g tl's shifts really fast.
if you stand farther away from the car and look at different angles it should look pure white
