I have just over 8k and I can get the 21 MPG in the city but the best I can get on the HWY is 28MPG

I drive around 65 to 70 most of the time on the HWY.

Anyone get the 31MPG regularly?

To and from work I am getting 30-32 on each tank, but still well below the 33-34 the MID shows. The MID is still 10% overly optimistic on mine.

I still have only about 3k miles on the car, and the gas mileage is not so good. I do mostly in town driving, and actually had one all in town tank that only got me 15mpg. averaging around 21 or so though with mostly in town and a little freeway...

Brand new car (so apologies if you're only looking for broken-in ones):

About 500 miles, roughly 80% freeway (going 75-80ish) and 20% "town" (not heavy city, but with stoplights) - pretty even 30 MPG.

After 20,000 miles, our averages mixed driving MPG was 28-29. When we went from San Diego to Las Vegas, we got 34.

I have about 800 miles on it and have been very consistent at about 22 MPG.

700 miles of those 800 are city driving (heavy traffic lights), my avg speed is about 20 MPH, so go figure.

My brakes are going, and going fast probably, but thats the best way to get to work for me, as the freeway (5 & 405 for those from CA) are much worse than city roads.

over 18k miles.. driven 75% city and every time I peak at the MID, it's always hovering between 27-29mpg.

going into 3k miles... not really happy with my MPG. I'm getting 22mpg doing 30% highway and 70% city. One time it dipped as low as 19.0 mpg but that was all city driving. By the way, does the AC affect anyone's mpg? doesnt seem like it's affecting mine

22,000 miles and my mileage has fallen to 26.8 per the MID & that's almost exclusively in town at the moment.

That's not bad for all city driving.

Just a bit over 12k miles now. My day-to-day driving (95% city driving) nets me 21-22 MPG. I recently completed two long trips of 100% highway driving and got 36.5 MPG on both.

7K miles @26.8MPG. I only average 35MPH during my commute because of traffic.

Over the last 5600 miles I have averaged 28 mpg (approx 60% city / 40% highway) or 8.3 litres per 100km.

If you are using the reading from the MID expect to deduct another 2-3 mpg for an accurate reading.

Does this stem from when Honda was overstating mileage by 5% and got caught? I assume most people just read the MID and think this is the mileage they are getting.

IMHO, yeah, I'm thinking so. There was/is an acceptable range of calibration mis-alignment within the spec, so if you try to 'ride that line' your normal range is bound to fall beyond said range.

Maine MDX - the 2 times I have manually calculated my mpg (more specifically, litres consumed per 100km) my numbers were within 0.1 or 0.2 of a litre of what the MID displayed (8.3 litres per 100 km is my average to date according to the MID). Close enough for me, and well below the 7% to 10% difference you seem to be experiencing.

TSX is about 200lbs heavier than 2003 Accord coupe and about 2inches wider. and 201 bhp and 244bhp isnt big a difference.

very true. I just would have figured the 4cyl would have been more efficient as far as gas mileage is concerned but I guess I should have figured that it wasn't since my cousins RSX-S gets about the same as the TSX does.

My fuel consumption figures to date = 13,574km - 985.04 liters for an average of 7.26L/100km, much better than i thought for this vehicle. By the way I keep a spreadsheet on fuel consumption.

I've had a 4 cylinder 2010 TSX for about 2 weeks and have been extremely impressed with my gas mileage. I drive about 55 miles to work each day or 110 roundtrip. Most of the drive is freeway and I'm averaging 34.5 mpg according to the average fuel settings on the display. This evening I drove about 75 straight freeway miles and averaged 38.7 mpg on the road. I'm MORE than pleased.

Best,
Bob

I have about 10,500 on my car and I do roughly 40% highway, 60% city and I'm around 24 mpg. Not bad at all IMO.

I have yet to do an all highway trip but I am sure I can pull 30s easily, as I was able to in the '07 TSX (which TOTALLY sucked on the city mileage for the longest time btw).

I just broke 13k miles on my 6.5 month old 09 TSX. I've been getting about 27-28mpg on my 75/25 highway/city commute per tank. I drive 70 miles a day M-F.

Last weekend I did a 400 mile trip and got 33mpg on 75-85mph speeds.

I usually average 26 MPG. 50/50 overall highway vs. city miles in a heavily commuted city; I'll take it.

Like Risc, last weekend I did a 400 mi one-way trip in the Southeast and got 32 MPG. Made it there on 3/4 tank. Stats like that are why I love the car so much.

8.5k on my odometer.
