Nokya 5000K 80W H11 Fog Lamp Bulbs

Tonight I swapped in a set of these Nokya 5000K 80W H11 bulbs which I picked up off ebay for under $30 shipped.

The stock bulbs are 55W but I ran the numbers and the stock wiring should still be capable of powering these bulbs. I also think the housings will be fine as I don't think there's any major difference in the heat they put off compared to the 55W, both seemed to get hotter than hell anyways but only time will tell.

I'm pretty pleased with the result. It's no longer dingy-white like the stock bulbs were and are a pretty good match to the HIDs. I took a couple pics with different exposures. And sorry, I forgot to take a pic with one changed out and the other stock.

They look purplish in this pic but they're definitely not. Just the way the camera captured the light I guess?

It looks great! I left you a PM on this, the vendor claims that since this bulb is a 2 stage, it will either fail early, blow fuses, or damage the wiring harness unless the harness is upgraded??? I went for the 55W 7000K Artic white. They were $18. I will post once I get them.

The harness should be fine. I've ran similar setups before in the past. If/when they burn out, I may try something else though.

Looks nice DerwoodEE! I was considering doing this but went with the HID route... Does it match more in real life because it looks like there is a difference in the picture?

There's still a slight difference but it's fairly close. It'll never be exactly the same when one is a halogen and the other HID.

I installed the Nokya 55w 7000k fogs Nokya H11 Arctic White 7000k 55W Head Light Fog Bulbs 1 (ebay for $18.80, free shipping) and what a difference! From 20 feet out, they match perfectly with the HIDS, closer and the HIDS have a slight brown cast, and the fogs have a slight blue but much improved from the factory bulbs as they looked like they were on a dimmer. Thank you DerwoodEE for the e-bay reference.

I got the same ones but yellow. And they look gorgeous on CBP. You'll give it a double take at night.

What is the difference between stage 1 lights and stage 2 lights?
