Sure no prob, and yeah, automotive clear with hardener from a gun, and just on a side note not all rattle cans are crap. I've used SprayMax 2k 2 part clear and it gives you spray gun results, shop quality paint thats easy to use. Because it's a 2 part paint you'll have less than 24hrs to use it once the hardener is activated. Good stuff, for those who don't have a gun
