Just picked up my very first car, a 2012 vortex blue tsx. Already ordered LED DRL and interior lights! Planning on plasti dipping everything too. Hoping to learn a lot from you guys.

Im rethinking going to the auto show with you on Sunday. This is some seriously rapey stuff

 

It sucked anyway... They didn't even have a exotic/supercars section this year... The shield MDX looked cool, but that's it. Acura needs to put a VBP or Milano red TSX there. A not modded CBP just isn't that cool

apinwp09GBTSX - I think I got one of the last 2012 VTB's in the area! So glad it was still available when I finally pulled the trigger to get it.

mrstak - Excellent detective skills!

PyroDave - Nice car! Definitely using your car as inspiration. I'm going with matte black everything tomorrow morning. Considering going with gloss or gold metalizer once I get bored of it. What do you think?

tobwac - No other mods pipeline other than tints at the time. Most likely sticking with aesthetic mods since its a lease. Any suggestions?

First attempt at dipping! 85% happy with the way everything turned out. I'm probably going to redo the grill and 1-2 of the wheels again

 

the grille came out nicely!

 

Pyro has the whole vortex community dipping haha. At least it looks good!

 

before you redo it, take it off the centercaps and lugs and look at it, trust me, alot better

 

Plasti-dip everything? Are you sure you want to do that to rental? (I'm assuming the picture in front a leasing company in not a coincidence).

 

Everything meaning the chrome bits of the car. Why not? Plastidip peels right off.

 

Welcome to the forums, The 2012 Nose and VBP look great together the color is growing on me. Nice First Car. My First was a 1997 Civic With 189,000 miles lol

 

I'm not sure what you mean by that... Mine is a lease with plasti as well, as are over a dozen others in this section. Plastidip is actually a protective coating on the parts of the car where you apply it. You can actually even do it on the entire car even on the paint. This is similar to asking if he is sure he wants to apply a clear bra to the vehicle or put a car cover on it outside since it is a lease. Why not?

 

I lease and mod, and at the end I undo all the mods. I take care of my car, too. My dealer loves me because I saved them all the prep work.

I just don't get people who drive nice cars but have cheerios in the back seat.

I've been pretty obsessed with mine. Had it for ~2.5 weeks now.

These are the LED's I ordered. High beams are basically non-existent now so I wouldn't change it if you use them often.

 

Nice new ride OP. On a side note, is PlastiDip a publicly traded company? I may have to invest a few dollars in them if they are
