new tsx owner
i have been trolling this forum for the last couple weeks as I was researching the tsx sedan. I had no idea there was a v6 option!
My previous car was a 2010 lancer evolution X gsr 5 speed.
I just got a 2010 tsx v6 in grigio grey i believe is the color and I really enjoy how smooth, yet powerful the car is. Ofcourse it definitely feels different coming from the raw feeling of the evox, but the tsx def feels pretty quick. The car has 40k miles and is in overall great condition minus a few door dings and some scrapes.
The car has the tech package which is really nice. I have never had a car with a backup camera or navigation so this is a nice experience for me. I just figured out some of the voice commands, but I hope to utilize more of the tech features as I learn more.
This forum looks to have great support and a great sense of community and I will try to take some pictures when I have some time to wash and buff out some of the marks in the paint.

thank you to all of the welcome's, I came to the tsx because I wanted to have a car that was both comfortable and easier on long term maintenance. When I was researching, the one thing holding me back was the 4 cyl motor. As soon as I found out that their was a v6 option, I was really excited and schedule a test drive at my local dealership.
I have not had the best experience with my previous cars except for my first car a 1997 honda prelude base 5 speed which I had a large amount of bolton's
After the prelude, I bought a 2008 bmw 135i 6 speed and after 2 years I started to encounter check engine lights, and the dreaded hpfp failure. I decided that it was time to get out while the car was still under warranty and sold the bmw.
A good friend of mine bought a 2008 evo x gsr around the same time I got the bmw and he had great luck with the evo so I decided to jump ship and get the 2010 evo x gsr.
The handling difference felt night and day. The evo felt telepathic with the steering, and you literally feel every pebble on the road. After reading up on the evox forums I decided to get an opensource tune, which seemed like a great idea at the time. In december of last year my motor blew, the #4 spark plug hit the valve due to a valve failure causing cylinder 4 failure. I believe the tune was too aggressive for the stock fueling, and other stock components. It put down 311whp and 321wtq which were great numbers for a 100% stock evox with just ecu tuning. I later found out 27-28psi is way to aggressive for the stock turbo and fuel system.
Fast forward to last month, my master cylinder failed while driving which cause my pedal to fall to the floor. I found out mitsubishi used a plastic master cylinder in the evox lol. I had the dealership look at it and they told me the master cylinder was fine and just re-flushed the hydraulic fluid. I was again stranded the next day and decided to get the car fixed and look into selling.
Owning a performance car is a LOT of fun, but daily driving it, especially being manual transmission, you get stuck in traffic depending on where you live. I realized that I cannot really enjoy the performance unless I take the car to the track or autocross. Daily driving you can only really accelerate quickly onto the freeway and then have to slow down due to traffic.
So have a performance car that you can only drive at 30% gets frustrating. Plus forced induction is more to worry about, you have to make sure your tune is good, especially on cold days you dont want to get too lean, etc which a good tuner can account for i guess. You also have to allow the turbo to cool down after some hard driving so for daily errands you are sitting in the parking lot idling a few minutes for each trip.
In addition, the car had 2 differentials which require constant care you have to make sure you flush the fluids on time or risk having to get new transfer case etc. You cannot launch the car because the transfer case will eventually go. at least in stock form.
Maybe I got tired of having to worry about the small issues but you have to really be on top of every small detail otherwise you will have problems down the road. In addition, the brakes cannot be done just anywhere due to the specific pads and rotors, and if i did handle the brake job on my own it wouldnt have been as much of an issue but I just didnt have the time. So then you worry about the shop you take it to if they will do the job right the first time. The mitsu dealerships here in houston are horrible.
I wrote a huge wall of text, and I am going to upload the pictures of my cars and link them. If you read that wall of text thumbs up to you.

I will try to take some pictures this weekend if I get a chance, the car is too dirty for pictures right now, but here are the pics of my prelude, 135i, and evox, all sold. Good times though, memories lol

damn.. ive always wanted a evo but always felt like it was built cheap. they sunk all the money in to development and put the car together using plastic.
the interior is sad for a 36k car...
still... i want one! lol
welcome to the forums.
you got the wrong color but its still nice hehe

hah, i was thinking about white again but, after 2 white cars it was time for a different color, and finding a used v6 tsx is another challenge. I only found 2 in my area, maroon or grigio.

I Spit On You.
People don't buy it for the interior... I've seen many with upgrades of 50k and nothing done to the interior execept rally things like a roll cage and better steering wheel, gauges and ect.

idk.. nowdays, it seems like any car costing more than 15k comes with some decent electronics and material.
the EVO costs a bunch and comes with just the bare minimum.
i still want one. i just wish it came with more tech
