New guy- 2012 TSX Wagon
Just recently aquired a slightly used wagon about two weeks ago. Love the vehicle but customization already underway as the windows have been tinted and the custom fiberglass subwoofer enclosure in (factory location) was started yesterday. Amazing how much room once you take out factory sub unit. Going old school and concealed (stealth mode)for this install so I'm super excited about getting it up to "the level" where I think it needs to be.

Welcome!
Seems like there are a lot of new wagon owners now; I'm guessing it's the end of lease turn ins that are starting to find their new owners!
Post a pic when you get a chance. What are your plans?

To start, I am going to insert these items into this useful location:
Boston Acoustics 12.5LF- 4 ohm
Xtant 302a or PG ZX400ti (bridged)
Esoteric 6 gauge power wire

Beautiful car. My twin.
THough since I listen to AM radio, I have no clue where the sub is.

Sadly, the OEM sub is more for decoration anyways. Now that it's out I can officially say that it made no difference whatsoever. Audio tracks sound exactly the same without.

Well I decided to go with a Boston Pro 12.5 LF in a gator skin enclosure. Xtant amp and EQ to power it all up. Boston Pro' 6.5 LF in the door and A/D/S tweeters.

The gator is what does it! That's just baller.
And damn, I love some Xtant amps. I never got around to putting together a full system in my old car but I had Xtant earmarked for amp duty.
Someday I'll pick up one of those shiny chrome & gold units...
Bet that all does the trick, yes?

Yessir!! I was pretty hell bent on leaving everything stock (including the head unit) but just couldn't do it in the end so gator it was!... Plus the installer promised free lifetime installation on all car audio so that's a no brainer...
Old school goodness there. In fact everything that was installed in my car was 15+ years old (including fuses, wires, etc...) but still new in box. Hee hee...Yes I have been planning this install for awhile. Anyways, Xtant was WAY ahead of their time back in the day. It's a true 3 channel with expansion modules to make it 5 channels. Best of all they have balanced inputs so factory source units can stay giving tremendous SQ (better than low level). Cutting speaker wires and soldering RCA inputs don't really do much if your amplifier doesn't accept the signal properly.
