NEW 09' owner

Guys I am psyched about being here...This is my second acura in my 25 years of driving...my first was when I was 26.
I just bought an 09' TSX and have a few questions please:
It has the bluetooth and my wife says her 4th Gen i-phone is not connecting. Is this compatible? I have no nav on this car....do I need Nav to make it work?

welcome!

what was your first acura?

I don't own an iphone and won't be able to help you, but I do believe the iphone should be connecting even without Navi.

my iphone 4 connects fine. first you might want to clear whatever phone that was in the system first, then try pairing it that should do it for you

Welcome, and to second what Ed said, try deleting any existing phones. In my '09, any phone not configured as the first phone had issues.

verizon iphone 4 connects just fine on my base 2010. heres my general process, on the steering wheel hit the phone button, "phone setup" "pair" *listen to bullshit* then it searches for phones. on your phone go to settings, general, bluetooth. that puts your phone in discovery mode. then your car will ask for a code, or you can put in your own code. then the "handsfreelink" pops up on your phone, click it and input the code. congrats

Welcomed to the '09 club... marvelous vehicle. I've got over 24K miles on mine and love to drive it. Mileage is fantastic and maintenance is minimal (oil/oil filter about every 8K miles and just changed out the engine air and cabin air filters - easy task).

Re iPhone 4. Glad to see you got the bluetooth working. I have same phone and while the listening is marvelous, the microphone in the car is very poor. Callers will have lots of ambient noise so really makes carrying on a conversation with a caller rather painful (for them)... as the driver it's great.

Regardless, welcome and enjoy the ride!
